12/10/2012 18:27 | Not a bad end to the week, we seem to be consolidating well and the chart still looks pretty! Interims next Thursday. We usually rise in to them so hopefully a good week to come. Does anyone have any thoughts with regards to how the Macro situation will affect results? We haven't had any further updates with regard to the Office of Fair Trading situation so presumably this hasn't been resolved yet? I suspect that they won't have been able to do much to remedy matters as a result, so it is presumably a bit of a drain financially???? Just wondering how this will affect the interims. Any thoughts anyone???? | woodpeckers
21/9/2012 08:49 | Clive Black, analyst at Shore Capital, has reiterated his 'sell' recommendation on groceries wholesaler Booker (BOK.L) in spite of what he said was a good all-round performance in the latest quarter because of the high price of the shares. Although Black said he's a big fan of Booker, the shares are too rich to warrant a better recommendation: 'we feel the performance and short-to-medium term potential of the business is reflected in the price; indeed materially so'. | flindy10

20/9/2012 07:36 | Morning CR. What do you think to the numbers? They seem down on last year (+4.3% on same quarter last year as opposed to +7.6% the previous year) or am I reading them wrongly? India seems to be going well though with 2 new stores planned. The Makro situation sounds as though it is obviously frustrating them though I'm sure they will sort it out. Get the impression that they can't wait to get their hands on it properly and turn it around in the same way they have BOK. | woodpeckers
