Had a lot of luck playing the range here and setting sensible entry points and targets, last in at 153 and stopped out at 171 last month, bounced off 150 last time so may open a spread bet here and play the rise again and then short it back down haha , In am ideal world the market would smash this down to a PE of 10!! which historically happens to even the best companies at some point , wishful thinking ? ?

Ouch! This isn't very Booker like action! Markets aren't good but BOK usually weathers the storm better. Hope 150p holds. GLA.

As I've said in the past, I am no chartist, but from a simplistic view it looks as though we are at the bottom of an uptrend so fxd.....should be good from here.

I think this is a share that won't excite but will keep slowly rising over a period of time

I see Investec has raised it's target to 178p. The market doesn't seem too bowled over though sadly.

Certainly bringing in the cash!

"The Group had around GBP150m net cash at the end of the year, compared to GBP77m a year ago."

It strikes me that they seem to be steering the business towards caterers and away from retailers.

Yes, all seems to be going to plan with total sales up GBP0.7bn.

Thanks for that link Jimmy, really interesting. Good to see proof that Booker are continuing to strengthen their position in the sector. I think this is why it trades on such a high PE, the market knows that CW will continue to drive the company forward at a high pace so it is reasonable to factor in expected growth.

Looking forward to the results tomorrow.

The BHS food offering also mentioned in The Times Business Section today and refers to Booker getting the supply contract. Could be 50 stores by autumn and initial test shows increase in footfall. So Booker now supplies both M&S and BHS.

Yes interesting one! Don't doubt Philip Green will do well, he doesn't like failure as we saw in the M&S drama in which Charles Wilson was involved. The pair's relationship goes back to Arcadia so interesting that they are intending to do business together again. Should be very lucrative for Booker. :-)

Hoping so Nar... annoying drop from 175p. But we are still in that channel moving upwards.

There should be a better divi coming up too from what I remember...

Following the successful integration of Makro into the Group and strong cash generation, we intend to implement a special cash return to shareholders of approximately GBP60m in 2014. Further details will be provided at the time of our preliminary results in May 2014.
