12/2/2018 08:38 | Blondeamon, Which site do you use to monitor online traffic? I'm trying to find an accurate online guide for general company use. | cockerhoop
12/2/2018 08:36 | Online traffic up 90% in January compared to December. | blondeamon
24/1/2018 15:50 | So losing market share and lowering like for like sales and profits . Hmmm. So whats going to happen here further down the line? Closure of some of the businesses, rationalisation and mighty asset and goodwill writedowns? Certainly looking like a business that needs the hatchet taken to it imo. No point holding this for a year and then they warn again and the price is crushed Whats the point? Its opportunity cost, your money could be working hard somewhere and instead if its inbvested here its got risk of 50pc downside any day | larva
24/1/2018 15:47 | Will head under 60p on that terrible chart | lucicavi
23/1/2018 17:34 | Larva, do you make a habit of making things up as you go along ?? | eastbourne1982
23/1/2018 17:31 | Following the trend seen throughout this year, the 50+ women's outer/sportswear market declined compared to last year, however Bonmarché continued to grow its share*. ... we have a number of self help initiatives in progress or planned for FY19, which are expected to deliver profitable like for like sales growth in stores, and the continuation of strong sales growth online." At the end of the third quarter, the Board's view of the likely outcome for the full year remains in line with previous expectations. Previous expectations was a rise from £11.1m to £14.1m in EBITDA and a slight rise in the dividend. | aleman

23/1/2018 16:59 | And what do you make of this? Are you saying the CEO doesn't know what she is doing when she says she expects profitable LfL sales to rise? Most media overlooked this in reports. Looking further ahead, whilst we expect the market to remain difficult, we have a number of self help initiatives in progress or planned for FY19, which are expected to deliver profitable like for like sales growth in stores, and the continuation of strong sales growth online." | aleman
23/1/2018 16:26 | So profit is to be in line but you say cash is going down. Last year they produced about £4m cash from operations before working capital movements in H1 and £7m in H2. This year they produced £6m in H1. Now the trading update said sales were down 5.5% in a third quarter held back by weather. Let's say H2 produces only £6m. You say cash is falling so more than £6m must disappear in H2. Can you break down where you think it will all have gone to? | aleman
23/1/2018 14:09 | Just working capital unwinding no great shakes And you do know they warned on profits 19 January and didn’t mention cash because it’s going down | tjbird
23/1/2018 14:02 | This is nothing like MTC. Tell me what happened to the cash position at BON over the last year. I'll tell you, it went up significantly despite paying decent dividends. | eastbourne1982
23/1/2018 13:38 | You don't seem to see that BON protecting margins and retaining in line quidance when a N Brown screwed up is arguably a positive. | aleman
23/1/2018 13:20 | N Brown warning today | tjbird
23/1/2018 12:59 | N Brown results look to be of interest. Sales growth has slowed significantly and gross margins are predicted to fall even faster in 2018 after a fall last year. Their problem looks to have been mainly getting older ladies fashions wrong so having to cut prices and spend more on promotions. The shares are down about 15%. | aleman
23/1/2018 06:48 | They have a plan imo, read the annual report and the latest update, it's all there. Not worried too much about the drop (although annoyed that I could have timed my entry better!). The balance sheet is very solid and will sustain any nasties. On a macro level I actually think things are far better than companies with poor business models (eg Debenhams) are claiming. The shorts can have their fun here for a bit but it'll come back! | funkmasterp12
22/1/2018 21:19 | Fairly easy to see who's long and who's short here! I am neither. My perspective is that a strategic plan is required, but that the market may well react well to any closures despite the related costs. Failure to have a plan would not be an option. I am sure the CEO is aware of this. | thorpematt
22/1/2018 11:11 | Looking for 40p on the next warning Shoking. im shocked | onjohn
22/1/2018 11:04 | They opened 5 stores and closed 10 in the last 6 months. They are already closing stores where needed and trading is in line as strong online sales take up the slack and margin management has been good. The temperature has moved back above average today after a very cold and snowy January up north, where BON's heartland lies. Tomorrow is expected to be way above average. Go out and enjoy some sunshine instead of getting depressed! | aleman
22/1/2018 10:42 | Snow in parts You just dont know what day they put out a strategic review to close stores and slaughter the price Wont be long and you will wake up to 40p share price Hello! | onjohn
22/1/2018 10:20 | Positively balmy in the sun this morning. The warm temperatures should tease the lesser-spotted BON customers out of Christmas hibernation. | aleman
22/1/2018 08:26 | They've got almost that in cash! | samdb
22/1/2018 08:20 | You just dont know what day they put out a strategic review to close stores and slaughter the price Wont be long and you will wake up to 40p share price Hello! | onjohn |
