24/1/2008 09:40 | Interesting times, with a 600 point swing on the DOW last night. What we appear to have is Bush pulling Bernanke's strings. It has taken us several years to get us into this financial crisis and Bush turns around, in an election year, and thinks he can fix all the global issues in a week by forcing the FED to cut and cut and cut. We then get an announcement, out of the blue that a rescue plan for US bond insurers will be put in place. In my opinion, Bush is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!!! Guys, Bodycote's model is flawed as their market, the US, is contracting and the dollar, given what the FED is doing can only further depreciate the dollar, which is what BOY is paid in, their profits can only slip further. We have a dead cat bounce today, make the most of it!!! | pmitchell
23/1/2008 16:55 | pmitchell Sorry to see you sell out. At this level it is certainly a T/O candidate. Average p/e value for BOY is 13. Earnings of 21p gives us about £2.70 therefore at £1.58 risk/reward ratio is very good. M | milacs
22/1/2008 13:30 | The FED just cut .75 to 3.50% and the markets are going nuts!!! | pmitchell
22/1/2008 11:50 | Can you believe it. The FTSE 250 rallies by almost 2% and what does BOY do, sweet FA!!! | pmitchell
