Interesting comment by the Numis analyst about renewed offer possibility in yesterdays results .Not a bad gamble to buy now in expectation -suspect thats partly why crept up.So I just added- reasonable prospect of a quick 20% I feel.

No. Sulzer themselves are under siege from a Russian magnate, which means that all bets (next year(12 mth rule)) or an agreed bid (Blue Circle-style) would definitely be off.

I regard him as the best and most reasoned commentator on small caps.
Over the last few years ( i started following him about 7 years ago) I have made a lot of money from his ideas. I love his approach to investment . Know your company and its people go and see it, look at its products. I doubled my money last summer in GET. I bought James |Cropper (before he did)and htere have been loads of others. Yes he got it wrong with abbeycrest (one of my biggest losses).

I believe in enjoying investing . He certainly seems to.

why I really get bored by reading his column is that it seems to talk more about "john lee" and how he trades and how he sits on a quiet evening with £18.50 cigar and classic FM and FT copy and broker faxes and less about the reasoning and investment. It seems the message is that buy these shares because John Lee is buying.

My PEP is meant to be worth £1m too.Shame it hasn't quite reached that potential.
I think John Lee's tips are much the same as most - win a few ,loose a few.i bought these on one of his tips 2 yrs back. One day it might get back in the blue again.
Whats happened to SCAB ?- he was ramping this one earlier this yr.

I've bought 1 or 2 of his tips and made small amounts - John Lee has had a lot of past success - His PEP is meant to be worth over £1m, which is a massive rate of return given the maximum amount that he could have contributed to it.

how sucessful is John Lee BTW. His column appears to be quite boring and dribbling self gratification. All he talks about is £18.50 cigars when markets are going down OR how he still relies upon the faxes which he receives from his broker every day.

I wonder how long it will be before the share price gets to the offer level of 345p....If I were a holder I would be asking some searching questions of the board for knocking back the t/o offer, me thinks they were more interested in protecting their jobs than in maximising shareholder value!

With you on that one, 3D. These should recover, given that they said clear off at 345pps.
