Open a direct access account. You will be able to put a buy order in at well under the ask price.

I agree, it is a shame the spread in the UK is so wide it is offputting (had I bought yesterday and sold today I would have made .5% despite a 10% swing in the share price). I guess the answer is to trade purely in the US shares but they are harder to monitor. Still if we don't shoot over 600p tomorrow I will try again to top up for a short term hold pre results.

LeighBarton - No I don't, but will probably in the near future.

I think there are 4 factors at play that bode well for the short term.

1) the trade show
2) build up to results
3) overhang cleared
4) possible short squeeze

if only 20m of orders come from the show it would be a disappointment. Considering the last trade shows produced $43m. i think I previously opted for $53m as being the magic number which would indicate with the Xinjiang order, 2007 revenue at 4x 2005.

My suspicion is that this rise is being driven by news from the hi tech exhibition. This is one of the two trade shows that contributed 70% of last years orders.

If this is the start of a rally before results I will be miffed that I didn't get my top up in first! Still at only $10 still vastly underpriced I think.

Someone beat me to it. Tried to buy at 500p but tried with too much and someone pipped me with 250 shares. Illiquidity is v frustrating in this share - should be one of the questions for the conference call as to whether any plans afoot to increase liquidity on the AIM market.

US open a $9.40 , meaning UK should add 10% soonish. Perhaps the hi tech exhibition has had a encouraging start

Looks like Herb's new nemisis is Krispie Kreme's, although I suspect he'll be casting a critical eye over the Bodisen q3 results.

Has the overhang cleared? There are signs that it has. Although nothing too excting, Bodisen was been outperforming a weak US market over the last 10 days. Hi-tech agricultural trade show is underway running from the 5th-9th November.

Wasn't aware that Herb had supressed the information that Halter, whose knocking quote Herb quoted, has a financial interest in a direct competitor of Bodisen. Very interesting.

I like this bit from Bodisen's response:

"While Mr. Greenberg is entitled to his opinion that companies doing business in the U.S. should have management teams that are fluent in English, this would imply that management teams of U.S. companies doing business in China should be fluent in Mandarin."

The guy's hatred of the Chinese couldn't be more obvious unless he started talking about "slitty eyes". I'm guessing that from his surname he is Jewish, in which case he may wish to reflect on the historical lessons of bigotry.

Dear All,

I am curious as to why the company have not directly sought to address the concerns of Greenberg, or possibly even ensure his views are subjected to defamatory process.

It will be interesting to see what comment if any is tendered in relation to this in the conference call.

No position.

Miami, agree with all you say, the curious thing however is how the share failed to hang on to gains following the trading statement. It will be interesting to see who has been soaking up the shares whether any of the institutions have bought in further. Also key is how much more have we to go before early stage unconnected investors are completely out. That has probably had a bigger impact on the shares than Greenbergs bizarre attacks on the company although undoubtedly he has fed his vitriol into an already weak market.

The results should see another sharp reversal, however the key then is will the company be able to hold onto its gains?

The £4.52 price is actually £4.80, when you use the US mid price.

The dampener on the share price has been the mountain of unrestricted shares that have come to market in the last month. About 15% of the whole company has been drip fed into the markets. Greenberg was off the mark on most things but what was true was that a huge overhang in stock had been created.

I would guess that it must now be almost cleared. I have been topping up at these levels and am now fully invested, although with no catalyst to boost the share price before results this may drift for another week.

What is almost definite is that on results day we will also get results of the trade shows. If not documented it will be raised in the webcast. In the last 2 years the forward orders from these 2 early november trade shows have produced 70% of the years revenue, and that is without counting the $45m coming from Xinjiang.

What will be holding growth back now is production capacity. They appear to be running at the max and the new factory in Xinjiang will be maxxed out with it's government contract. So news of the new North East production facility will be something to look out for.

The new factories aside from increasing the top line are going to have a notable positive impact on costs through distribution savings. Trucking fertiliser across China for several days has added a significant fuel cost.

What became clear from the trading statement on the 18th October is that the share price is prepared to correct violently on the hint of good news.
