Thanks to all for very helpful posts on this thread.

Last post by Leighbarton is exactly how I see it. You forgot to mention that i read somewhere they are on the short list for 'AIM stock of the year '(?). Even more bizarre.

I'm a UK holder and want to thank those feeding info through from the US side otherwise I would be in the dark on this.

Hoping for further falls before mid-Nov so can get in again. Cheers

Cimbom, not true in terms of volume of shares - look at what is happening in the states for what really is the volume of trades.

In the UK 1,750 shares have traded hands whilst in the US the equivalent up to this time is 174k.

It is the US that drives the price of this share and at the moment the market is not rational with Herb Greenberg consistently bashing the company on grounds that it had dealings with a dodgy adviser. He reckons the company is not real but a paper tiger...'How do you get your share price to rise 20% issue a trading update to say your numbers are strong but give no numbers other than last years'...is how he greeted the latest trading update.

Despite the fact he is basing his case on some fairly dubious reasons ('the management don't even speak English')...he does appear to have a following and he is making this share a shorters paradise as they trade on fear of no smoke without fire principle.

If of course he is right a lot of us will have eggs on our faces. But I for one believe this company is real. They have been visited by D&T have respected auditors in Kabana (although a lot of US disparage them because they are not one of the big 4) and so it goes on.

The company does need to do something about this if they are to move forward. I have approached them, but their attitude at the moment is that their results speak for themselves. However in this bizarre climate of mistrust they don't because a lot of people in the US simply don't believe them.

It is truely bizarre, I have never seen anything like it. I suspect the only way they are going to overcome this issue is:

a]sue Greenbberg for defamation
b]de-list from US and rely instead on the more understanding AIM exchange
c]trade up to one of the senior US exchanges
d]prove Greenberg right in which case we are all up the swanny.

As I say I have never seen anything like this, its a bit like a soap opera but one where we could get rich if the company can sort its PR out.

Elsewhere in the biotechnology sector, Bodisen Biotech surged 63p to 560.5p on the back of a "buy" recommendation from the broker Charles Stanley after Wednesday's trading update. However, much of yesterday's gains are down to the tiny free float and lack of liquidity in the shares - fewer than 5,000 changed hands.

Wiganer - I agree although the UK MMs don't help matters by not making much of a marekt in these shares. Pathetic volumes are available and traded daily.

To be fair, on this one it's not the MMs who are the enemy, it's a certain US reporter and shorting gangs.

Down 6% in the US after markets closed. Leigh Barton thanks for the welcome. I would confirm what Wiganer stated in that I did not pay any stamp duty. However, point taken about the lack of market in London for BODI, I just hope that the UK MM's play fair with a straight bat.

Leigh- there is no stamp duty on UK share trades on this one, because it is classed as being a "foreign share".

Va Va Voom welcome aboard. There may well be further weakness before Q3 numbers, the Yanks love to hate this share for some reason - a classic instance of where dual listing has actually harmed as opposed to benefited a share. The frustration is that there is no market in the UK so you realy are better dealing in the US stock (as well as avoid stamp duty).

On the upside I think we have huge potential to double our money once the yanks get to grips that this is a real company. The good news about the trading statement is not just we can expect strong numbers but it quells doubts about the company may be suffering because of adverse weather hitting Chinese farmers. All of which bodes well for the share price over the next few weeks. I'll certainly be looking to increase my exposure as and when I release funds from elsewhere

cimbom, miamisteve,

Thank you for your input into this very informative BB. I stumbled across this thread yesterday and spent quite some time researching for myself. Unfortunately, I decided to have a punt after the markets closed yesterday but I did manage to pick up a small quantity of 201 shares at 540p first thing this morning :-)

I will look to add on any weekness.

Once again, thanks for all your good posts.

One of the main reasons why I have invested in this company is the fact that none of the negative press have been no more than rumours planted there by shorters. As they say "you can never keep a good thing down."

I understand where your coming from.Usually when I take a stance like yours I end up watching the share price rise significantly while I make up my mind on what to do.By which time it's to late.It can be so difficult at times.
Good Luck.

Na, I can't do it, I already buy many more shares than I really should! Will wait and watch patiently, with fingers firmly crossed...

I know there's still plenty of potential, I'm just fully invested elsewhere right now. I was actually hoping this would go sub-£4 in a few weeks' time, which would (with a bit of luck!) coincide with a rise (again, with a bit of luck!) in one of my bigger holdings, much of which is held as spreadbets. Thought I could raise my stop loss, take the 'spare' cash and put it here... Now I have to decide if I can 'find' some more money to put in here without the safety of having just taken some profit elsewhere....

At the moment the share price has hit the upper limit of the downward trend... A good opening in the US could send BODI right through this resistance, but I'm also wary that there will be many that are just happy to take a small profit (or minimise their losses?) at the current price, so there may well be a few sells coming through (there are always plenty that do not operate with a LTBH policy!)... Having said that, if the recovery goes well the chart says there's a chance of seeing ~760p in the near-ish term... Hmmmm (drums fingers on desk, frowning...)

There is still plenty of upside here.I can see this opening with a big gap up in the states this afternoon.Don't forget the shorters that are trying to get out.

Ah, that's better- top of leaders board now. Am now feeling a bit silly only having bought a small amount yesterday, rather than filling my boots, but hey, a win is a win.

Well, they've marked it up, though not quite enough to match the NYSE rise.

Still nice to be near the top of the leaders board though.
