We should not forget that the President is promoting football in his country. We should also not forget that BNN is in reality a Chinese company linked to the Government.

It is for those reasons that I see today's news as important.

DM & his team are in China! I would suspect last trip pre-Xmas.. so explains probably why this announcement has come first...big news will follow, as they stated in the previous RNS, by year end! This partnership is a very good addition for driving traffic.. 300million + readers on Xinhua....be happy - news is news... onwards & upwards...MM's will play there games but this is heading one way! Up!!!!

Totally agree with you PR stuff is better at the end of announcements not when shareholders are waiting on bigger stuff .... gives MM a fund couple of days again .

Being honest, slightly disappointed that more exciting announcements did not come first. Not saying that this is not good news, but this sort of deal is a bit of a side show IMO. Sure drives traffic, but more for PR than anything else. Roll on next announcement. Hopefully by the end of this week. GLA

BNN Technology and FC Barcelona Announce Partnership in China

FCB team news and unique football camp content available through
Xinhua News app


BNN Technology (AIM: BNN), a London-listed Chinese technology, content and services company, today announces the signing of a partnership with FC Barcelona (FCB), one of the biggest and most successful football clubs in the world, through offering various football events, money-can't-buy experiences and football camp content online via BNN's partner NewNet on Xinhua News app.

The partnership enables NewNet to distribute some FCB content such as club news, access to enter competitions and games through the sports section of Xinhua's News mobile app. It also enables NewNet to run a series of football camps each season in China, where over 300 young Chinese amateur football players will be trained by fully qualified FCB coaches to hone technique, tactical awareness and fitness, following the renowned and admired FCB training methodology. One of these camps will be held at Barcelona's official training centre, where Chinese participants will experience world class professional coaching right in the heart of Spanish football. As part of the agreement, BNN will also take a group of participants to a match at Barcelona's renowned stadium, Camp Nou.

All the action from the football camps and official FCB original content will be captured and available on the Xinhua News app, delivered by NewNet. Prospective football camp participants, friends, families, and fans can register to access exclusive football camp content and related information on Xinhua News app. The content will go live in early 2017.

For the first time in Asia, two of FCB's former stars - defender Eric Abidal and midfielder Gaizka Mendieta - attended the partnership signing ceremony held today in Beijing, China. Abidal ('07'-'13), who famously lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy in 2011 at Wembley Stadium, and Mendieta (' 02-'03), a two-time winner of the UEFA Club Best Midfielder Award, greeted attendees at today's ceremony, as well as demonstrated their legendary skills to celebrate the partnership.


The partnership underscores BNN's commitment to supporting grassroots football in China, by delivering social participation programmes that build on the company's longstanding operations in the country.

Hi NurdinTalk by MW on the financials refers back to the April Mirabaud brokers report. MW doesn't try to add financials himself, its more the narrative and explanation and filling in the gaps that MW is so good at.The other thing is all MW's reports are well researched. That in itself doesn't give any guarantees , but still counts a lot.Going back to the financials, clearly the Mirabaud April report is well out of date, but it's still useful to understand the business on offer.A new Mirabaud report is expected in the near term. With more news expected from BNN, i would guess any new report would want to take that news on-board, therefore I would think Jan/Feb seems likely for that updated note. No point trying to second guess that note and I feel MW is wise to leave the forecasting to the broker and stick to doing what he does so well, explaining the opportunity, filling in the gaps and suggesting forward plans.It seems clear to me trying to pin down the financials on BNN could be like nailing jelly to the wall. Fast moving developments soon leave forecasts behind. Probably just as important to grasp what they are trying to achieve and weigh up their chances of successfully executing on that.Hope that doesn't come across as 'teaching Granny how to suck eggs', just my take on things.

My gut feeling is BNN platform is a golden ball, it is robustic and scaleable, it can be used for many kinds of online trade, so that is why they said part of Alibaba and other giants find its convenient to use BNN technology for their certain area.

I have read RNS of 8 Dec and MW articles. He is similar To BNN RNS but more confirm such as NASDQ listing, after Christmas, content agreements with prestigious partners before Christmas (may be). are These not in RNS?

Very positive. But I am still trying to understand fully (or more) about the BNN RNS.
