Results in from Tronox show big rise in profits- good news for Ilmenite market.


Tronox reported revenue of US$464 million for Q4 2017, up 32% from US$352 million in Q4 2016 with income from operations of US$60 million up from US$1 million in Q4 2016. TiO2 segment revenue of US$464 million increased 32% compared to US$352 million in Q4 2016. Feedstock and co-products sales of US$133 million increased 45% from US$92 million in Q4 2016.

Ilmenite sandcastles! Very exotic. Here’s some we made on holiday

I thought the best part of that award was the clear pointer to Disko, seen as the next
challenge perhaps? It’s got such a history, they know an orebody is there, it’s finding it....then, you would really see that value here imho.

Greenland receives over €300m annually from Denmark I believe, that is their target &
independence is their hope.

I’m sticking with Broker targets for now and be very pleased that there’s still major upside.
The market is buoyant for Ilmenite and so it’s nice to be sat on a lot.
Let’s do Mr McIlree a favour and wait to see what he has to say?

Think Marathon rather than sprint ( although it’s nice to dream obviously 🙄)
