no definitely not sarcasm (but I have to admit I am a little bitter not having jumped on it when I first heard about it last Sep at 900p, and only pulled the trigger at 1400p).

fingers crossed, this could seriously be a life changer!

Ok, might be genuine happiness for me, or sarcasm... Reading my message again, it does come of as being smug, wasnt my intention. While I do like your enthusiasm, I think Smerch is right and we should put things more into perspective.

As for the party, I dont live in the UK, but at 100... budget would probably allow a trip (or 2)

doesb003.....We are all very happy for you.

Let's sit on this till it reaches £100 together shall we?

We can actually then meet up and have a real party together.

Promise?

It has also become the largest name in my portfolio.

£100 here we come!!!"

What happens if they breed a "rogue bot"?
Let's call it a LeesonBot ;-)

I am happy with 2-3% gain each day.

I mean, it really is still very small tbh, and only a few people (like us) are aware about the potential of BP and RPA.

Most of the others are still going to work each day, with their mundane job about to be replaced in 5 years time, by the RPA bots, developed by the very company which stocks we have purchased.

Yes I agree, expect it will be taken out at some point.
It is just too important an area especially as it's the finance industry that benefits.
It is at what price though...sometimes its at the top of the market, there again
some times it's after a stock market drop....time will tell.
But either way or not at all it's been a heck of a journey..

Good, a buy out usually means a one-day-30%-jump-in-stock-price.

can't complain really.

£50bn market cap would translate to a share price of £780!!! Rocks bro!!!

Tbh, i dont' see the point of buying Apple or Amazon, yes they are big, they are established, but would take like ages to double in market cap. Not to mention there is a chance of a new tech beating the old ones, just like Kodak.

Blue Prism is THE new tech, if anything.

Bought at an average of 1,47. No worries, I've got my fair share (pun intended). BP is extremely overrepresented in my portfolio so eventhough I'm tempted to buy, I won't.

@doesb003:

When you buy stocks you are buying into the companies future. Taking a single snapshot of these companies current revenue would fail to show you the future/whole picture.

In 5 years time, every company who wants to continue to be competitive will be using RPA one way or the other. It is just simple maths, because robots can do human work, faster, cheaper and more accurately.

Apple on the other hand is on its way out with new competitors joining the market, look at Samsung and Wuawei and all the android phones.

Amazon is great dont get me wrong, but not even single companies who want to remain competitive in the future need to be a paying customer of Amazon (or any online retailer for that matter).

Buy now or regret later, choose.

Shares will have to go two-for-one to solve this drought of shares. Directors have sold and IIs hold only 40%. Mine are in a tin at the bottom of the garden guarded by a Dobermann called Hans. Otherwise it will be £50 by christmas....(Nice ring to it "£50 by christmas")

BP has been impressive though from the start in the company it keeps.

Just had a look back and found I posted this 5th Dec last year:
"This is a repeat of late May / early June. Price had climbed rapidly to around 9.5 and had quick fall to around 8, small recovery before second rapid fall to near 7. Look what has happened since then. I got my top up a bit wrong at the fall to 8 but looking now am not exactly grumbling.
I see nothing that has fundamentally changed to make me change my view that this is an excellent hold and would top up again on these dips were my position not already well overweight.
I'd be prepared to bet that in 12 or 24 months time, buys around 13 will look like they were absolute bargains."

That was after a rapid clmb to around 16 and then several quick retraces to just above 10. Three months later was back to 16. As far as I am concerned another reapeat is almost certain soon and the post could be repeated with updated numbers. I still believe that in 12 / 24 months a buy on dips now will be a bargain. I am selling nothing despite the percentage of my portfolio that BP has now become - an IFA would tell me I am mad but then what do they know?

It is not so much about the “price” of £100 but the “market cap” of £1.6bn

Apple is $900bn and Amazon is at $1 trillion.....just to put things into perspective.

BP even at £100 the market cap is only £6bn

Yep, indeed, Ms Eu Phoria will catch you out and kick you in the proverbials.
Much like Purdey (for those who know her ;-) )!

[Last accumulation 2380. I'm done now sub-£25 on a 9month view to £30'ish].

£100 is a bit premature imo. If any tech giant is sat there looking at PRSM and thinking it is worth £100 a share either now or in the future, they would be making bids left right and centre.

The share has had a great run, but I mentioned Investment Psychology yesterday. We are definitely in the Euphoric stage, momentum is definitely on the upside but the slightest bit of bad news will see this share get absolutely hammered. It won't matter as much to those of us who accumulated sub £5 even £10, but to those who joined the party late, I would say be wary of what you are getting into. This pattern has been repeated time and time again. Bitcoin being the latest example last year.

I have started looking at fintech, as I believe it will be the next big thing. Already hold shares in Quilter, and will look at Funding Circle when their IPO comes up in the near future.
