19/2/2015 07:25 | I would have preferred the black hole in the cv of our new appointment with the funny name to have been filled by a two-year surfing sabbatical? Was he kicked out of Samsung? | precinct14
19/2/2015 07:12 | Porthcothan Beach.....plus bottles of ice cold Rattler from the beach shop. | deanroberthunt

19/2/2015 06:41 | oh come on guys there are all sorts of reasons why people leave jobs these days especially in the IT sector it is not as if he languished at Samsung once upon a time you took a job and stayed in it forever, but that would look a bit iffy on your cv now | gowlane
19/2/2015 06:29 | But alex I've just read your post on the other thread about BLNX and the way it and who it hires? Are you sure you were not on that Chelsea train!? | quilarvium
18/2/2015 23:56 | Stocky - The point that 1gw is making is that we should be careful before celebrating too much about new hires. The argument runs that this guy would not join Blinkx unless it was going places. Maybe they just made him a good offer - he is Asian and may have some connection to the other Asians in the business? He might just need a job? The guy that's just leaving Morrisons was feted by the press when he arrived, as was the guy who he replaced who went to Marks and Spencer. They are not feted now. What did Buffett say? When a management team with a good reputation join a business with a bad reputation it is normally the business reputation that remains intact. The guy has good credentials but It's not like Messi has just signed for Torquay United. Trading update is the RNS that I want to see. | alex1621
18/2/2015 23:34 | Barky - just checked it out. Agreed, Woolacombe looks like a great beach! I'm just not sure how that applies to Blinkx? There is evidence that supports the beach comments, but what evidence do we have that Blinkx is the next great turnaround? The share price momentum is good news but I'd like to see some evidence of a turn in fortunes for the company. A great deal has been made of Adkarma on these threads. I understand that as the RNS suggested it was fast growing, profitable and sold at a knockdown price ... but they were very selective about the information released, and that's my concern. The business could be highly indebted, hence the price. If the next update is good, the share price charge is underpinned by solid numbers. If not it goes back down the hill again. It's not a prediction, I simply don't have enough information to correctly judge. Unlike Woolacombe beach. | alex1621
18/2/2015 23:24 | don't shoot the messenger... if there is something which isn't quite clear then it is in everyone's interest to have it clarified... If Sidhu left Samsung 18months ago then depending on whether he left on friendly terms or not, is important... to suggest that there maybe a tie-up with Samsung without wanting to entertain the facts, is ramping... Even the profit warnings were seen by some of the gang as a ploy by blnx to flush out Blackrock.... how ludicrous is that... Yet posts by an anonymous poster is taken as fact because it's positive... DYOR...read the newsflow... 1gw 18 Feb'15 - 17:05 - 6502 of 6523 0 0 Sudhi Herle (cont.) The plot thickens. The first link below should play a youtube video of an "Uplinq 2014" panel session (Android Applications for the Enterprise) where he introduces himself as CTO AgreeYa Mobility and mentions his long history at Samsung. If the video link doesn't work, use the second link and click on the "Android Applications for Enterprise" link in that. The third link though says that he (surely not another Sudhi Herle?) co-started Mobiliya (a company "under" AgreeYa Mobility), and implies that the company was set up in early 2010 (i.e. while he was still very much at Samsung). While the article shows pictures of the other 2 founders, of him it merely says "Harle comes from a security background", misspelling his name the second time. | sikhthetech
