Annual Returns.
Every company registered at Companies House, needs to complete an Annual Return every year and within a month of it being due..

Blinkx plc has 4 subsidary companies listed...
Blinkx UK Ltd
Blinkx Media Ltd (which was dissolved 1st March 2016)

Blinkx (UK) Holding ltd
Blinkx (UK2) Ltd

The last 2 Blinkx (UK) Holding Ltd and Blinkx (UK2) Ltd were incorporated within a few weeks of each other, 8th March and 20th March 2012, respectively...

Blinkx(UK) Holding Ltd Annual Return was due by 5th April 2016
Blinkx (UK2) Ltd Annual Return was due by 17th April 2016

Both Annual Returns are overdue by over the 28 days allowed...



According to Gov website..
"You can file your annual return up to 28 days after the due date."

"You can be fined up to £5,000 and your company struck off if you don’t send Companies House your annual return."

Last year in June, Blinkx announced that AB was stepping down as Chairman of Blinkx but was to remain on the Board..

"Mr Bettencourt will remain on the Board as a Non-executive Director, serving on the Company's Nomination and Remuneration Committees."




I noticed at Companies House, there is a filing, dated 28th April, stating that AB's stopped being a director from 31st March 2016.




I can't see anything in the Apr TU about AB...


Does anybody know or remember if AB was going to terminate his directorship from 31st March 2016.
Who's on the Renumeration committee now?

During the Period, the Company generated over $75M in new revenue, and achieved profitability in the third Quarter, followed by anticipated fourth Quarter seasonality. Simultaneously, the Company accelerated its planned drawdown of Non-Core product lines, which now constitute approximately 30% of total revenues - compared with over 50% in FY2015. Programmatic revenues grew 66%, with programmatic and video now constituting over 50% of total revenues, across desktop and mobile devices.

Cost Control

The Company took critical steps during the year, to optimize the Group's cost structure and better align with changing Industry conditions, revenue mix and profitability profile. This included rationalizing the product portfolio, consolidating multiple technology platforms, exiting certain office locations, reducing headcount, integrating functions and building out a highly scalable hybrid cloud infrastructure. As a result, the Company eliminated over $40 Million in annualized operating expenses, incurring approximately $4 Million in restructuring costs.

Re-branding

The Company also undertook a major effort to re-brand its offerings under the RhythmOne brand and launched RhythmMax, its unique and unified programmatic trading platform. RhythmMax includes proprietary brand safety technology, RhythmGuard, which uniformly screens and eliminates underperforming traffic in real time and provides a singular platform to access cross-device RhythmOne inventory across Owned, Controlled and Extended supply sources. The Company now boasts one of the largest supply footprints in the Industry, ranking #6 US platform by ComScore and #11 global platform by Quantcast, as at 31 March 2016.

Market Outlook

As anticipated at the beginning of the Period, FY2016 was a year of integration and investment, against a rapidly evolving Industry backdrop. During the Period, the Company built a strong foundation for future growth and deliberately shifted its focus to Core mobile, video and programmatic trading, the fastest growing segments of the Industry.

Commenting on the FY2016 results S. Brian Mukherjee, CEO of blinkx said, "FY2016 has been a transformational year for the Industry and the Company. We believe that we now have the technology, talent and relationships in place to scale both organic and inorganic growth as the Industry continues to evolve and consolidate. Through strong cost discipline and a strategic focus on Core mobile, video and programmatic products we are now well aligned with broader structural market trends."

The Company will hold its Financial Year 2016 Earnings Conference Call on Tuesday, 17 May 2016. The Company also announces that it will hold its Annual General Meeting for Financial Year 2016 on Thursday, 16 June 2016, in London. blinkx will provide details on each of these events in due course.

16p ... I'd be 50% down on my last holding, and that was my lowest buying price of all my previous buy and sells.Just need some positive indications tomorrow. If that happens, could jump considerably. Having said that, I also thought that at 32p. Not for widows, orphans, or gimps!

it isn't just ad blocking... and the whitelists that go with it...

Google's 'walled garden' approach doesn't help...



The digital age has created many opportunities which means the whole industry is nothing like the traditional ad agency used to be...
Programmatic is great, increasing speed of delivery of ads...
however, Advertisers are now able to use programmatic to work directly with Publishers...

If blinkx can convince investors that there are great opportunities and can demonstrate that they can take advantage of those opportunities (and not just talk about them) then the share price should take care of itself...


More and more new ad agencies and ad exchanges have come on board over the past 2-3 yrs to take a slice of the same but increasing advertising space...

1R is majority US based and operated... so operating in a saturated market...

we know what the revenues are...
They fell short of market expectations and were at the lower end of the predicted range..
The current share price is also, as expected...

Question is whether they will announce yet another 'transformational year'...if so then I think the bod might lose the little bit of credibility they have got left..

Will there be a positive share price reaction to the outlook statement? Will there be a short term positive share price reaction followed by the downward drift...
Is it worth trading these in the expectation of a short term price reaction on Tues??? decisions, decisions...
