BRES has features in IG top ten penny stocks:9. Blencowe Resources (LON: BRES)Blencowe Resources' Orom-Cross project in Uganda is widely regarded as a potentially world-class graphite deposit. The company has sent multiple samples to China which have confirmed high quality potential product - and has passed a key project screening test set by the US International Development Finance Corporation to gain funding assistance to bring the project to production. This would include DFC funding for 50% of its proposed Definitive Feasibility Study costs, but the company still needs to find a Joint Venture partner given that it estimates it will need £62 million to build a production plant.

You say "behind the scenes"Yes so let them continue behind the scenes. What are you after, insider knowledge, or weekly updates? Get a grip. News will come when it's ready. There's a lot going on between many parties, they don't just say here's your results and the dfs, now sign me a cheque for half the money as agreed. It's pointless investing in small pre-production companies if you're not willing to wait for the necessary processes behind the scenes.

I’m sure I heard mr mention September.
But you never know with mr. He always gives you the impression news is imminent when it’s not. Having said that there will be good news it’s just the waiting. But for 5p it’s very cheap. Just top up and put it all in the bottom draw.

If anyone reading this knows any of the board of directors personally, can you give them a nudge to see if they are still awake? That said, if FULL DFS funding is currently being finalized behind the scenes and a positive announcement is forthcoming very soon, then clearly I was mistaken. Whilst we're on the subject of news pending, poster 1acert mentioned no news before September. You did mean 2023, right? GLA. RB.

DFS funding isn't an issue for bres.BRES are not required to fund anything in advance or in conjunction with any potential DFC grant. It's all done on stages, in addition once DFC is granted warrants, IMO, will be cashed in.Once DFC is in place as a partner bres will have multiple funding options other than a raise. If they choose to raise I would trust its for the benefit of the business.Look at the company position, the comms, and the previous use of funds raised.A solid business with minimum risk, all IMO.

I think the worries about funding a few million for the DFS will disappear if the large sample testing successfully meets it's targets as expected, hopefully within a few months.

In the meantime, the market is nervous that interim funding for Bres's 50% portion of the DFS funding, plus working capital needs, before any off take deal is negotiated, will require yet more placing-as-you-go type news announcements. However small they are acting as a clear brake on the share price whilst their threat hangs over 2023 developments.

There is an indication of timescale, and it isn't imminent (taken from half year report - 2nd June): "A Definitive Feasibility Study ("DFS") commenced and is underway on a number of fronts; this is expected to take around 12 months to complete but the timing is dependent on pre-qualification test work being completed as a means to ultimately deliver binding offtake contracts for the full quantum of graphite concentrate being considered for sale under the phase one operational model".Getting off take partners is clearly contingent on the quality and size flake of the graphite. We have seen that this is at the top end of the market, so getting partners to buy our graphite isn't the issue. The immediate issues as I see them are:1. awareness of BRES as an investment2. Getting DFC across the line...imminent3. Funding the remaining 50% of the DFS4. Longer term funding, should be achievable once DFC commit

How much would you value "one of the largest graphite producing operations in the world"?"DFC's lending capacity is used to provide loans, guarantees, equity investments and political-risk insurance for private-sector led development projects, feasibility studies and technical assistance. DFC invests across several sectors with stated goals of empowerment, innovation, investment into Africa and climate change.Orom-Cross is directly linked with several of these goals. It may ultimately become one of the largest graphite producing operations in the world, over a very long mine life, delivering a concentrate as end-product which is a non-replaceable input component to batteries"

Paul, Once again the Tweet just says what we have been told previously.
"We look to have significant offtake contracts signed & sealed as part of the DFS"
There is no indication if the DFS is imminent or six months hence.

From Twitter#BRES "We look to have significant offtake contracts signed & sealed as part of the DFS.This relationship with the DFC is about getting this grant in order to fund the DFS, & to have them as a partner with the debt funding & for the ultimate project to be implemented."#Graphite

Today, The FTSE was down 2,2%, German Dax was down 2.6% and the French CAC down 3.1%.
On the brighter side, This is a piece I read from Dr Doron Myersdorf, the CEO of extreme fast-charging battery start-up StoreDot. Once BRES gets the good news we are led to believe, this stock will go up by the thousands of a %.
Having said that, There could be hefty export costs involved or China muscles in on the Oram Cross project directly. I think having the US on board is the key to Bres's success
