I think the logo is cool.
What the product is called unfortunately matters a great deal. Verbal and written communication by happy users of the product is how the name spreads, I use 'elevate' won't help find it on Google. I use 'elevate.io' works, but beyond techies how many people even know the .io domain name? People need to be able to search for the product without conflict with current word usage.
The product is amazing, so is Blackbirds tech, but the knowledge about elevate.io seems miles from going viral despite 40,000 users, WHY?? |
HB.
Bit late in the day now.
If it’s good, no one will give a fk what it’s called, and they certainly won’t give a fk about a capital letter at the beginning. |
Leave off the name.
It took MV 2 years to come up with that.
And the logo. |
McSean chill out. |
Have to agree that "elevate" is a poor choice of brand name on many levels.
I should not begin with a lower case letter. It should not begin with a vowel. It should not be a standard english word.
It's probably just me but I struggle even to remember what the damn product is called!
Not too late to re-brand it. Could even make a virtue of it for extra publicity. |
reassessing a month prior to paid launch would be very odd. |
Just perhaps there will be a new owner who renames it!!! I couldn't resist saying that! |

Why would someone search for "elevate video editor" if they have never heard of 'elevate'?
I do think using a dictionary word for a product name was a very big mistake as the product can't easily be differentiated from other searches using 'elevate' far better having a unique name like Canva did.
Any suggestions the name will ever change? Maybe the grand launch of 'Hypervate' could change things. 😂 Although just checked and someone is already using that name ☹️ |
Grim start to the New Year for me as a BIRD investor.
I've said it before and have been roundly rebuffed but sadly after nearly 10 years invested, I haven't been wrong when saying share price is a good indicator.
The fact insiders are not buying suggests confidence is low. That does not mean the product will not succeed just there is little enthusiasm within the company.
This is what enthusiasm looks like:
www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/b3pa3e/we_just_hit_1000_users_and_1500_video_edits_in_a/
I believe SS was once enthusiastic but around the tech and not the number of users.
I know people like bonio could break even at this price but not me and I don't feel ready to throw in the towel yet.
Sadly, the team seem completely useless at product promotion. It's like we're in stealth mode when I google elevate video editor
I guess I'll give it until end Jan and reassess.
Good luck all. |
AGM video for newbies. |
They have funds until 1st quarter 2026 I think. They only recently did a placing |
If there is a placing coming all the usual suspects will be shorting no doubt |
My guess is that there is a rather large sell to come which is the reason for the drop. |
Barely £1000 worth of sells takes the mcap down by £1m... Seriously illiquid still... That can work both ways though, if/when we get good news... |
I don't think there is any issue in discussing both. |
Share price is not necessarily the best point of focus at the moment. Product capability and launch, paid take up, and current cash flow have my attention. |
Is it a closed period until results? |
No insider buying and we're in q1. Development seems to have halted.
Not looking like an attractive bet. |
Well spotted Hairflick! |
Were you supposed to post that as thiopia?
So no credible source then. Just Bonio speculating. 🤔 |
bonio10000 - 30 Dec 2024 - 10:51:05 - 22807 of 23026
Cash at 30 June £5.6m
Cash burn £1.9m per 6 months.
So by end of march should have about £3m left
Which is not a lot to launch a product and keep adequate cash reserves.
Placing coming. |
In 2024 the share price bounced between 9p and 4p twice. Yes I'm well aware it was much higher in 2022-23... |
thiopia would you be kind enough to point to where these rumours of a placing are? I had a quick look around but couldn’t find any reputable sources. |
“didn’t last for long before the share price rebounded” Ermmmm. Have you actually registered what happened to the share price in 2024? |
In reality you only have to look back to 2024 and see a death cross twice in the year, but it didn't last for long before the share price rebounded. News drives share prices for real investors, not short term traders. And we expect plenty of news in the next few weeks before launch IMO. |
