They have £6m in cash - so that is not a huge issue if Enterprise is flat.

But 12 months between general release and paid release really is a kick in the teeth to shareholders.

That’s Q1 2025 if no delays.
Did they say when the cash runs out?
They need to come up with some sort of plan now, for example sell it off, preserve cash, mothball the company etc

Oh dear, rush to 1p has started.
Hard to understand how 20 years of innovative tech has ended up here.
Guess they’ve never found a buyer for the tech in any real size and everyone seems to manage without our ‘must have’ tech.
Where do they go from here? Firesale of tech to preserve a few jobs? SS has had 25 years of a good wage out of it.

I was right they were miles away from paid launch then.

Deary me.

Tough to see why anyone would hold post Dec 21 placing if they had been more transparent and tough to see why anyone would hold or buy now until paid launch, given all we will get is the release of the odd feature here and there and some blog posts.

I asked for a roadmap, and to be fair to them, this presentation is exactly that.

I still want to know when the marketplace will be introduced on this roadmap though.

Paid option due to commence Qtr 1 2025. Good explanation why this so and it's good to get transparency at long last but the cash resources will be depleted sooner than I envisaged.

As I previously suggested...I think it makes sense to just continue to add features to Elevate, over the summer where they can, and leave any marketing decisions until at least the autumn ... continuing to gain valuable feedback ...

The two Olympic games are now a very big summer focus for Enterprise

AVID i think still having problems at ITV/ITVX ..so..interesting indeed to see how that all works out and their development plans ..

"We have taken decisive action against our M&E cost base last year and this year and, as previously stated, are targeting an EBITDA break even for the Blackbird division in 2024."

I take this statement to mean solely the Blackbird division (M&E) that is targeting EBITDA break even.

That is not to say that BIRD as a whole company will be EBITDA breakeven.

i.e. they have cut costs in M&E and that single division will be breakeven.

But on top of that they have centralised costs, including BOD pay and the ongoing development and marketing costs of elevate.io.

BIRD is not intending to be breakeven for a long time.

So how much funding will it need? And how will it be funded?

Crucially:

elevate.io is in the planned general release phase and, although not yet at a chargeable grade

So the real question is - when does the BOD expect elevate to be at a 'chargeable grade'? When will it start generating revenues? That will be the key thing - when is it good enough that people will actually pay for it.

That is the proof of the pudding.

Many expected 'general release' to be exactly that. Now we know it's not. But now it has become 'some date in the future'.

But it's pretty important to know when will it be?

EBITDA and Adjusted EBITDA can be what you want them to be.

Geh - it's irrelevant.

all it means is that they have put up the white flag for Enterprise and are now just managing some legacy contracts, letting other contracts go where the costs are not worth it and probably just losing others by attrition.

I might as well say I got to my target weight by amputating my leg.

Chris

For many, many years I think it is safe to say they were just a R&D outfit with a pretty small employee count, investing every pound of revenue back into the product development.

Over the years they have built up quite a tax credit based on the "losses" booked, so... come the day, come the moment ..any profits can be matched initially against tax credits

The built up tax credit on the books, here, is actually more than the current MCAP

Making an accounting "loss" as a result of continual investment and development is probably the best thing they could have done

Pretty common , really ..the likes of Ocado do it on a much bigger scale..they have going on for £1 billion of tax credit !

Death!
Plop.
The barges down in the river flop.
Flop, plop.
Above, beneath.
From the slimy branches the grey drips drop,
As they scraggle black on the thin grey sky,
Where the black cloud rack-hackles drizzle and fly
To the oozy waters, that lounge and flop
On the black scrag piles, where the loose cords plop,
As the raw wind whines in the thin tree-top.
Plop, plop.
And scudding by
The boatmen call out hoy! and hey!
All is running water and sky,
And my head shrieks -- "Stop,"
And my heart shrieks -- "Die."
