Johnvrals ref post 16632 I think you will find I was correct and that this was nakther failed attempt to find something that has fallen flat and now leaves them struggling. Elevate.io sounds good and if tou listen to the hype sounds amazing but the relaity is it has failed to deliver much revenue and won't be taken up anything like what management think.

Hence the share price down 35% since tour comment and it's you who doesn't have a clue it seems.

Unless there is very large late sell, todays tape is garbage.

Fear fear fear. Amazing.

People were happy to buy at 30p 20p 10p now lows and scared..

Now we have more potential than at 40p!

Oh well maybe the herd dummies are right.. ;-)

Hear there is a little in-fighting too.

Someone will go first and that is a given they trust each other so much...

No advice.

Invest360, IIRC, the notice said you could attend the AGM in person, but you had to ask because space is limited.

Apologies in advance for the formatting but this looks to be an automated report on IM’s proposed salary review for agreement in the AGM.

Some Shareholders May Object To A Pay Rise For Blackbird plc's (LON:BIRD) CEO This Year
Key Insights
Blackbird will host its Annual General Meeting on 18th of June
Salary of UK£203.0k is part of CEO Ian McDonough's total remuneration
The total compensation is 42% less than the average for the industry
Over the past three years, Blackbird's EPS fell by 7.4% and over the past three years, the total loss to shareholders 86%
The disappointing performance at Blackbird plc (LON:BIRD) will make some shareholders rather disheartened. There is an opportunity for shareholders to influence management to turn the performance around by voting on resolutions such as executive remuneration at the AGM coming up on 18th of June. From our analysis below, we think CEO compensation looks appropriate for now.
See our latest analysis for Blackbird
Comparing Blackbird plc's CEO Compensation With The Industry
At the time of writing, our data shows that Blackbird plc has a market capitalization of UK£18m, and reported total annual CEO compensation of UK£211k for the year to December 2023. That's a notable decrease of 18% on last year. In particular, the salary of UK£203.0k, makes up a huge portion of the total compensation being paid to the CEO.
In comparison with other companies in the British Software industry with market capitalizations under UK£157m, the reported median total CEO compensation was UK£364k. Accordingly, Blackbird pays its CEO under the industry median. What's more, Ian McDonough holds UK£464k worth of shares in the company in their own name.
On an industry level, roughly 64% of total compensation represents salary and 36% is other remuneration. Investors will find it interesting that Blackbird pays the bulk of its rewards through a traditional salary, instead of non-salary benefits. If salary dominates total compensation, it suggests that CEO compensation is leaning less towards the variable component, which is usually linked with performance.
A Look at Blackbird plc's Growth Numbers
Blackbird plc has reduced its earnings per share by 7.4% a year over the last three years. It saw its revenue drop 32% over the last year.
Overall this is not a very positive result for shareholders. And the fact that revenue is down year on year arguably paints an ugly picture. It's hard to argue the company is firing on all cylinders, so shareholders might be averse to high CEO remuneration. While we don't have analyst forecasts for the company, shareholders might want to examine this detailed historical graph of earnings, revenue and cash flow.
Has Blackbird plc Been A Good Investment?
The return of -86% over three years would not have pleased Blackbird plc shareholders. So shareholders would probably want the company to be less generous with CEO compensation.
In Summary...
Ian receives almost all of their compensation through a salary. Given that shareholders haven't seen any positive returns on their investment, not to mention the lack of earnings growth, this may suggest that few of them would be willing to award the CEO with a pay rise. At the upcoming AGM, management will get a chance to explain how they plan to get the business back on track and address the concerns from investors.
CEO compensation is an important area to keep your eyes on, but we've also need to pay attention to other attributes of the company. In our study, we found 4 warning signs for Blackbird you should be aware of, and 1 of them is a bit unpleasant.
