Surely you would get even more people signing up if you gave them a fully featured free version.

Multi Player is already in the Free version we have now.

If that’s the case I’m not sure how we are going to get hundreds of thousands paying up for it.

Sounds like only a niche group will be interested.

Submit did say in the webinar that the subscription levels are for the multiplayer and number of people in those teams.
So the elevate that you see is the complete version. Other features will be through plug ins.
That was my understanding. At the moment I can’t see why anyone would pay.

Chris

My understanding (could certainly be wrong) is that the free version is fully featured like the paid version.

Which then begs the question why pay?

I suspect it will be things like more video storage, more compute time extra access to some plug-ins perhaps more people can collaborate and perhaps number of projects

That’s the way I see it.

Still sticking with my crazy theory that someone big will launch it instead 😂

Who knows!

No idea but I don’t think we have started yet!

If there are "zero glitches from lots of use" the only reasons for delay can be that they are adding more features to the paying versions or that they have an equally big announcement to make with the launch e.g. AWS, MSFT and Google will name elevate as their preferred software.

NickB.

What’s your thoughts on numbers already signed up.

Do you think there is currently enough functionality to get people interested, or do you think they log on, see there is no air conditioning, and move on.

Everything they have done is to a very high standard nothing to re visit and change or fix.
The path of adding features looks clear to me i don’t know how long it will take though!

I have encountered ZERO glitches from lots of use.

Unusual.

The way they have implemented the fade system is excellent. Far better than the two other apps I have used (CapCut and Scenery).

I am hoping that when they come to add other essential facilities such as direct sound recording, titles etc. that these will be equally superior to other apps.

If they can excel in the basics, people will gravitate towards elevate simply for ease of use.

I suppose the deciding issues governing the GO decision are how many bells and whistles remain to be added to the pay versions and what the level of glitches/improvements currently being reported by users are.

I feel I totally understand why so far Blackbird have sought little publicity for elevate.io. They are in general release and so effectively still testing and building the product.
At this stage, with their limited number of staff focusing on building the product, all they need is sufficient testers to give them the necessary level of feedback to identify needed improvements and hear suggestions regarding what additional features the testers would like to see added.
Each added tester effectively potentially adds to the company's workload in terms of answering queries and responding to suggestions, so the last thing they need at this stage is to add lots more users and then fail to give them the support that they expect. To do that would divert staff time and slow the pace of product development.

Once it is working very reliably and has all the essential features and plugins then they will hopefully feel it is time to press the GO BUTTON!

I wonder when we will get some updates, on numbers signing up, and active users.

We must be, as IM would say, “tantalising close.” 😂😂

You would think.

No market for it!
We have bottled it, we have crates of unwanted fizzy optimism but punters just walk by

I can’t believe it.

McSean the most negative person on here, thinking about topping up.

It’s a sign, I tell ya.

I totally agree with your concise summary.
The presentations have repeatedly made that crystal clear, and there is no evidence to the contrary.
The current share price is sitting in the middle of never never land, waiting for convincing evidence that elevate is on the road to a commercial success.

mcsean I find that topping up during the last 30 mins on a Friday usually gets an acceptable price because the brokers all want to go home. It's even more pleasing when your purchase pushes the balance of share trading during the day into positive buy territory - though at this level that doesn't mean much (but every little helps to reduce the average price I have paid and makes breaking even that little bit earlier). Just multiply the number of shares you have and x it by ssb's £37 and that should lift any depression. BUT that's going to need a little bit less than 2M paying customers based on he last Allenby model. Have a good weekend!

The only thing I know is they are working on building a world class cloud video editing platform.

They are genuinely ambitious and I believe they have an informed strategy that will deliver one way or another.
