13/4/2024 14:48 | Interesting article and reflects my view on AIM. | nickb
13/4/2024 14:34 | An interesting article in today's Times headed "Aimless: How London's junior market was hollowed out" It talks about how unrealistically low many AIM share prices are. It quotes Gervais Williams of Premier Miton saying "The UK is cheap, but small caps are disgustingly, absurdly cheap". He says that he believes a broad rally in UK listed shares is coming, with the FTSE 100 index flirting with a record high. This, he believes, will result in a "positive virtuous spiral" that will boost smaller listed companies. He says "I'm more bullish now than I have been for 30 years." The article explains about some companies planning to leave AIM and go private which will enable them to raise money at effectively a higher company valuation, than the AIM share price driving them to raise money by issuing shares at a low price. It quotes the example of biotech C4X which has a share price 90% lower than 10 years ago despite striking three big deals with Astra Zeneca. The company is currently only valued at £23 million on AIM. Redx is also 90% down from it's 2015 listing despite partnering four major deals over the past five years. If Blackbird is going it alone, I just hope they stay put on AIM until the success of elevate and enterprise is proven by sound rising profits so the share price is very significantly rerated. | salmon9
13/4/2024 14:16 | Nick B. Just worked it out, thanks | salmon9

13/4/2024 13:52 | Salmon Did you get my advfn pm message? | nickb
13/4/2024 11:53 | It seems to me that the more technically demanding that top level video editing becomes, the more this should help to shine a light on Blackbird's proven superb technical competence and inventiveness in this field . The second rate video editing solutions should soon start to look like worse than second best to ambitious video editors. | salmon9
13/4/2024 11:29 | AI puts rocket fuel under us. Scary but exciting | nickb
13/4/2024 08:44 | NickB Even better than I thought! There must be a top slice of their users who now want something better that can be coaxed to try elevate.io I think the partnership with Twelve Labs is beginning to scare me: "Twelve Labs helps developers build programs that can see, hear, and understand the world as we do by giving them the world’s most powerful video-understanding infrastructure. Video most closely resembles the sensory inputs from the real-world. We model the world by shipping next generation multimodal models, pushing the boundaries in video understanding." That sort of technology changes almost everything. | chriscallen
12/4/2024 22:14 | Chris Could be even more! Number of YouTube Creators According to Social Blade's latest data, there are approximately 61.1 million YouTube creators.5 Dec 2023 | nickb
12/4/2024 21:56 | Its useful occasionally to remind oneself what the scale of the market is that elevate.io is aiming at: Allenby gave an example of just one business in the sector that demonstrates its size: "According to Wainhouse Research/Tim McQueen, there are estimated to be some 1.7million YouTube channels with over 10,000 subscribers, and over 10 million channels with more than 1,000 subscribers – this gives an idea of the potential scale of the market for a software platform that allows better, collaborative and more-efficient video editing" | chriscallen
12/4/2024 19:10 | If BIRD has any problems deciding which influencers it should use they could try: "How to identify the right influencer partner using Twelve Labs API" | chriscallen
12/4/2024 14:31 | I don’t think the majority spend any time they are just focused on their day ahead. Then something happens that takes them by surprise! It’s beyond a full time job keeping up with everything at the moment. Just my take Same could apply in investment, no one is following Blackbird and it’s environment like us. Our advantage perhaps but the price of that is being too early to the party! | nickb
12/4/2024 14:08 | NickB How much time a week do you think everyone in the business is having to spend , just keeping up with everything that is going on in the sector ? | pokerchips2

11/4/2024 18:26 | Tim Chaffee. The idea of sharing a timeline with others never appealed to me as an editor. When Sumit Rai and our team at elevate.io team introduced me to multiplayer, I was skeptical. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. Multiplayer turned out to be such a cool and efficient way to work. It would have been a godsend for the many teams I've worked with in the past. With multiplayer, we could have easily shared a timeline and divided the workload for faster turnarounds. Trust me, you won't regret trying it out. If you're going to be at #NAB let me know and I can tell you more about it. | cabi1 |
