29/2/2024 10:50 | Shortsqueezer All those trades at 6.165/6.17 are Buys. | ![]() hairflick
29/2/2024 10:46 | " Surely if they wanted shares they could have bought them in the market place? " well you dont get the EIS Tax break doing that The tax break comes from FUNDING ..hence buying in the placing | ![]() pokerchips2
29/2/2024 10:45 | Of course it’s dodgy, what else would anyone expect? £1m mates rates top up for the invited few. Chuck in tax breaks, if they hold that long Have to love AIM Nice £50k for Allenby as well. | ![]() leighford
29/2/2024 10:34 | Demanding is my word. Surely if they wanted shares they could have bought them in the market place? That would have raised the share price. It looks dodgy. But of course it is. | ![]() purchaseatthetop
29/2/2024 10:30 | Yes you'd have thought they could have struck a deal with premier miton. Wonder if miton have bought into the placing. Anyway Strange pricing behaviour today. Had a small top up as I realised I had a bit left in my isa allowance. Everything showing as sells. | ![]() shortsqueezer
29/2/2024 10:29 | where is the word 'demanding' in the rns PAT.. | ![]() kcowe
29/2/2024 10:28 | It will probably be below the placing price when the results come out. | ![]() the big fella
29/2/2024 10:25 | Agree 100%. Funny to read the other explanations though. Weird ones like a group of HNW individuals approached the company demanding to be able to invest….. Oh…. | ![]() purchaseatthetop
29/2/2024 10:19 | Standard behaviour for AIM, nothing to see here. | ![]() leighford
29/2/2024 10:13 | The share chart suggests that this placing has been sold into before today’s announcement. Not good behaviour. | ![]() purchaseatthetop
29/2/2024 10:06 | haha well indeed , only the future does matter ....it is now or never ....the Research either makes it or the markets pass it by ... The thing is, because they were so small and ran or such a small budget they took a lot longer to progress in earlier years than what would happen with a private equity start up thrown multiples of what they had to work with | ![]() pokerchips2
29/2/2024 09:59 | Probably true Convenient way to write off 20 years but only the future matters! Get them snouts in the trough. | ![]() leighford
29/2/2024 09:43 | " would that be a first in their 25 or so year history? " I disregard most of those years as being a pure tiny R&D company ...in many ways IM was the beginning in terms of putting any of that R&D into serious play | ![]() pokerchips2
29/2/2024 09:40 | " if held for 3 years, then obviously no buy out anytime soon! " just means no tax rebate ,..doesnt hold back any buy out !! | ![]() pokerchips2
29/2/2024 09:39 | EIS relief is a factor, but I believe most/all of the other xxxxx placings BIRD has done had EIS relief. On the face of it it seems unlikely all those participants flogged it out for 3 years. Sometimes it’s just better to sell, irrespective of tax considerations. Nevertheless this looks to be as good a heads up as you will get in these dodgy AIM markets. Worth adding & seeing if BIRD can do something , would that be a first in their 25 or so year history? We await. | ![]() leighford
29/2/2024 09:37 | if held for 3 years, then obviously no buy out anytime soon! | ![]() jj_1237
29/2/2024 09:31 | McSean, the placing cost just 50k as they raised 1.05m and say " The estimated net proceeds of the Placing, which will be approximately £1.0 million" Looks like they have preserved cash as the current cash position before the 1m raise is 5.9m. I agree with invest260 and others that it bodes well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 2 HNW investors who contributed a total of 500k invest more in the market. As Timbo says, the indications are that EIS relief will be granted so the placing shares will be tightly held for the three years needed to achieve that. | ![]() nick2412
29/2/2024 09:31 | Invest360 I suspect... IM said he would buy, which assisted in the decision of the other investors to take the plunge too amt these raises are quick and cheap compared to other options .... and they know they have to have a base level of working cash which no doubt contracted clients stipulate .... so..operationally ...they may have needed that...at this stage I think with IM making the cash level public suggests there isnt much insider information that could affect the share price , as the results generally boil down to the cash level anyway | ![]() pokerchips2
29/2/2024 09:27 | amt. You're right. Nobody cares. There is no regulation and the boutiques know it. | ![]() horneblower
29/2/2024 09:23 | Incest360.. I concur with your views.. | ![]() kcowe
29/2/2024 09:21 | If results are out soon how do the rules for insider trading work. Maybe its not possible to buy in the market but possible in a placing. Placing like these do no good for the AIM market reputation but that's in a bad place anyway so maybe nobody cares these days | ![]() amt
29/2/2024 09:16 | It seems bizarre to me that anybody can imagine the story is anything other than positive. None of the rest of us private investors understand what's really going on behind the scenes. Guys, the CEO has bought yet more shares ON THE EVE OF ANNOUNCING RESULTS and shortly before the launch of the Elevate.io product, where they have insider's visibility of the level of interest (and have possibly even made headway with some of their large corporate media and ents clients). We then have a public expression of intent that other members of the board will buy shares as soon as the closed period has ended. They know what's going on, and they're buying. I get that it's below market rate, but it's not much of a discount, and it's not much dilution. If you're cross that they're all profiting before the share price shoots up, then for almost the same price, you can just buy shares on the open market - today. We've been worried that the lack of news has been an indicator of a lack of progress. Now we get the most positive insiders' view we could possibly hope for. Err.... | ![]() invest360
29/2/2024 09:15 | So a buyout by Adobe coming pre launch then. ;-) | ![]() bonio10000 |
