Black Dragon Capital to acquire Grass Valley.

Interesting news to me at least.



Black Dragon’s founder and CEO, Louis Hernandez Jr, ex CEO of Avid and a keen follower of Blackbird on LinkedIn

Grass Valley is an old famous name in the broadcast industry and is having to adopt Cloud technology fast.

We should be talking about getting Blackbird into their products / services as OEM perhaps.

Anyway just a thought

There is no indication that Bird are snowed under with offers unfortunately. They were probably advised to raise money to show Bloomberg that the company is solvent . Also , there are presumably costs associated with the contract . As we haven’t been given any figures it is not possible to know what profits are anticipated or when .

Try searching for Blackbird on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud and compare the results. They suggest we may be waiting a very long time for the next RNS if we have to rely on at least two of the biggest Cloud players.

Share price is messing around at the moment. The chart indicates a move to the 30p - 40p range eventually. However, how long the sideways move will be without an upbeat RNS is anyone's guess. Fortunately BIRD will not be affected by the corona virus like so many shares in other sectors - a plus point these days.
