Maybe the U.S State Dept are using it already. Perfect if they want to delete a video, as they will have complete control, even if it’s gone viral.

Publicity to me is showing it to a Couple of senior executives at say Google I’d be worried if they were trying to promote it generally.

It’s should be massive on a global scale and that takes time and a deep pocketed global media technology giants push.

Exciting times I believe.

How do you know there is no promotion?

My business promotes its service direct to customers and potential customers.

Just because you won't google us is irrelevant.

The Player was at the heart of BIRDs commercial strategy as late as the Spring of this year when it was set out by IM:

"A few years ago, the commercial team of this company were chasing Avid and the toolsets were incredibly sophisticated. But it does not do everything Avid does. You're not making Game of Thrones on Blackbird. But for 95-98% of content out there, we are a very accommodating tool."

The company's growth is dependent on large-scale rollout of cloud post and distribution, but Blackbird believes the "problem of visibility" is industry wide.

"We can solve this issue by rolling out our Player and content creation tools within large OEM systems," says McDonough. "This is how I believe the demand for Blackbird will expand rapidly. There is a long way to go to achieve our goals, but there is an enormous potential market. We aim to build on our position in North America, especially among sports broadcasters and rights holders, OTT or SVOD customers, or any company dealing with large volumes of video and news media groups.

It’s amazing how the mood changes in here. I’m sure there’s plenty going on, that’s why IM hasn’t bought anymore shares. They are dealing with the likes of the U.S State Dept. Just that in itself should help to secure more deals. These things take time. The A+E deal was nearly over a year. Share price down to 12p, but on what. Hardly any selling in notional terms. I’m still buying. IMHO.

The recent dealings with google means they must have demonstrated the player, google looking elsewhere can only mean it is a while away from release.

The cloud infrastructure don’t worry me, my investment was and is about the player as in my eyes it’s market reach around social media outstrips any cloud deal. Even more so if a big name goes for a buyout to own the player to be built into current software.

I think clarification needed from 🐦. Otherwise we must assume their November pitch was garbage. It's a year later now and nothing amazing has been released.

Snowing hard at the moment. A rare event in November here... but not as rare as a BIRD RNS announcing a large win.

The Player or at least the technology is also in the editor so I would say it comes from the editing platform.

As a stand alone for consumers it will have had extra work carried out.

But where is it?
Total news blackout and silence from the company.
