"We continue to progress with our strategy to position Blackbird as a key infrastructure component in the technology stack of major media businesses. To this end we have multiple ongoing discussions with large companies around the globe. As Cloud adoption becomes more prevalent in larger companies, with our strong Blackbird platform offering, and with the right commercial team in place, we are well positioned to exploit this."

I agree bonio10000 only £100K each would be disappointing. I don't think any of the press releases use IMs "large" (£1M+) or "medium" (£100k - £1M) so it's very difficult to tell whether they are towards the large or the small end. What I do think I know is that of the 4 TownNews releases on the BIRD site 2 are RNS and 2 are RNS Reach. By inference therefore the 2 RNS contract extensions are each worth at least £80K plus (more than 10% of turnover being one test for an RNS)and the 2 Reach announcements are considered significant say £40K each. So TownNews might now be at £300K p.a. with the first contract included. That's why I think the US business could be as much as £600K this year but with very little hard information and timing of income receipts being unknown it's guesswork.

Sooner or later some of the large deals that IM had in mind a year ago must drop if BIRD is to be permanently re-rated by the market.

The multiple expansions of the TownNews contract, particularly the gains of TV stations, IMG, Deltatre and A+E will now be generating income but the State Dept win is still in early days as an income generator though I notice that they do a lot of video postings on YouTube. My guess is that the out turn for the year will be around £1.2M but with more to come from the existing contracts in 2020. The RNS announcements made this year should be generating at least $300K in a full year and the RNS Reach though smaller in value being more numerous should reach a similar level. This compares with the £158K generated in North America during 2018. During 2020 the turnover should rise rapidly as the State Dept contract kicks in and the others continue to grow so I hope to see somewhere around £1M from the North American existing users next year.

The unknown unknowns are what can be generated in Europe (but presumably it should be £700K or more plus what can be gained from new wins) and what major wins can be made in the USA. If another fund raising is to be avoided BIRD will have to achieve significantly more than £2M invoiced sales in 2020. This should be achievable but past history shows sales seem always to disappoint. Perhaps this year and 2020 will prove different.

A fast move up with tight buy limits perhaps?

Yep.

I would like Townnews to get up to 150 stations, A&E to be rolled out across the business and another US dept to use BIRD.

That would probably sort it together with more generic general wins.

That’s a good point about our customers.

Our sales could easily double without our sales guys doing anything!

Well, I think the Townnews, A&E and State Department deals will end being 7 figures down the line.

I assume IM never clarified if 7 figure was considered to be the initial deal or the ongoing potential.

Need to see a 7 figure deal

1. money of course
2. Shows they have arrived at the next enterprise level which in itself should generate more sales.

Still scratching the surface of what should lead to a $100m + market

Nope - but income is lumpy based on large deals.

I don't think the can incrementally move the dial with bits and pieces here and there.
