I still don’t understand why you think elevate doesn’t have any core competencies. |
I am saying woooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I’m saying both/and. |
I get it, but I can only imagine that Figma had to have a lot of core competencies for it to even be considered. Only then can collaboration come to the fore. You can’t have a really basic system where collaboration is the only thing. The reason I sometimes use Google sheets to collaborate is because it does everything Excel can do. If it was too basic, I wouldn’t use it, and the collaboration becomes a secondary consideration that never makes it out the gate. |
@NickB
"One feature that could/ should be added is XML /EDL export
Which is editing data that can build your elevate timeline in another editing application so early collaborative cloud editing to get everything correct story wise in elevate then export to a Finishing on prem editing app. So you could take your project near the end to Davinci for high end pro Finish
Super powerful!
Maybe a partnership with Blackmagic Design😀
Will they do it"?
Lets ask?
They read
Done..

Yes collaboration is for us an easy obvious USP
I suspect you will find Collaboration will be more used by the paid accounts rather than individual free accounts who will be more casual users working on their own.
People who earn money ‘working’; as video ‘creators̵7; will be working with and for others so they have to collaborate in some form.
Some potential users may have to use other solutions this is normal now in the pro world who have many different software packages to get the job done.
Everything you need is possible and people can get familiar with elevate at zero cost to them. |
Collaboration should be the USP, and elevate.io gets that. Cloud native seamless iteration, feedback, and teamwork, all happening instantly, anywhere. As video creation becomes increasingly collaborative, elevate.io will be the platform to make it happen.Remember their mantra a year ago? "Everything you need, nothing you don't." That vision is still unfolding. The marketplace will be key for those who want extra, offering a tailored feature set for every user.Week by week, elevate.io is iterating and improving. This is a platform that is only getting stronger. |
Hopefully disruptive technology will deliver much more than just collaboration. |
Collaboration is in the DNA of the architecture it’s a next generation design not a re hash of old design.
We are emulating Figma as the poster company and that is all about collaboration.
If you are not working in Teams it’s difficult to appreciate Collaboration and how it affects the process.
There is no one tool that satisfies all the different needs people have.
Any specific features you need should be told to Sumit and team. |
This seems like my constant refrain: I get that collaboration will eventually takeoff for video editing. I really do. However, my worry is that they may be banking on it as their Ace card. For me, when I come to the interface, I can see it hardly does anything and I think “Nah, I’ll stick with Camtasia because, even though it’s buggy and annoying in some ways, it does the core things I absolutely need it to do.” The problem is, I need finishing tools, and elevate.io doesn’t have any, so if I’m going to use it, I need to import all sorts of third-party media using tools I haven’t learnt to finish my project before I can publish it. But I’ve learnt how to use all the finishing tools in Camtasia already (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it), and I value that much more highly than collaboration. My theory is that if I moved over to elevate.io, I’d really enjoy using all of the tools (if they were there), including the API/SDK links to cloud provider’s tools I never even knew I needed. From there, to discover the joys of collaboration. But, I’m not going to sacrifice the finishing and other tools for collaboration because it’s just not my priority. At least not yet. And, given how new this idea is and how much they’re trying to educate the entire bleeding market, I think pretty much everybody is in the same boat as me. I completely get that in, say, 2 years it may be the thing I can’t do without, but that’s not what I’m looking for right now. I’d be a big fan of them completing the product with absolutely essential items to deal with the bottom third/finishing, etc, before they tried to go to market on a ‘collaboration is it’ ticket. All IMHO. |

BIRD went from 1800 to 10000 in less than a month. So if they kept that rate up they should have around 25,000 now and at least 50,000 by the end of the year. But they should be accelerating their efforts to build the user base as they approach the release of the paying version(s). |
How many subscribers are you thinking now , b?
100k by the end of the month? |
I dare not post a chart as every time I do will end in tears..
No mind, I am holding all of my BIRD and so are my Friends, CULT, GUILD and special friends.
BIRD not for trading anymore IMO
I am in.
Hold in ISAs or CTF no margin is the key to long life investing.
