Welcome back mk
Hope you are well
Mk and I are the only OGs left from the days of the first listing of FBT |
Welcome back boss. Good to see.. |
Holidays and assumption it will be launched in time for Texas.
Even without that - it will need to be good to go well in advance of 31 March.
They won't launch it with a few weeks of runway. |
3 months ? Are you at the end of December where you live? It's 12th November everywhere else ! |
Already 12 Nov.
So about 3 months of working time before the end of Q1 25.
Feels like they have a lot to do to get the product into the shape a lot on here would like. |
Back to Earth after yesterday's stellar rise 😢 |
Zydecoco there was an email sent out to registered users just a few days ago asking for feedback, did you not get it? |

It’s on its way but in the meantime I build my own lower thirds and import the png file.
That’s the default professional way if on Avid or Adobe because they will have to conform to corporate branding style
So any agencies probably wouldn’t have a problem.
Anyway it’s coming I’m sure
From an investor perspective it’s not about small features in elevate |
Zydecoco
I’m sure Sumit and team know but they have been focused on the incredibly hard core work, the bit that’s potentially worth billions
This other stuff is just on the things to do list imho.
It’s like critiquing Elons working Mars spaceship for only having one bathroom when 3 are required and they say yes it’s coming but we have had to concentrate on the hard stuff of building the rocket first!😀 |
Doesn't look like bickering to me, or maybe I am missing something, it looks like people seeing a channel for constructive product input and visibility of product development for better user experience. |
At this stage, a product roadmap would be a fine thing. Then we could all stop bickering :-D |
Thanks for your advice, NickB. Though, I’m not a professional editor and I have no idea how to use a graphics package and import a GIF into the video. It all sounds rather daunting, and exactly the kind of thing that I thought elevate was there to eliminate. I currently do all that all in one place in Camtasia. That’s why I was so excited about “everything you need and nothing you don’t.” I automatically assumed that the bottom third would be one of the first things to arrive (exactly what they need to do to enable 2000+ journalist and producers at Bloomberg, IMHO). Then I was looking forward to some fancy video-to-text and text-edit-to-autoconform, along with a whole load of integrations with innovative cloud based solutions. In fact, exactly what they said they would be doing at the grand unveiling a year ago. I trust that’s still the plan. If it is, I think things will go well. Not if I have to start learning external graphics packages and importing gifs. |
Cheers NickB. Forgotten how to do that, Bonio. |
Can you start a thread now, so I can filter SSB? |
MK Welcome back😊㊆5; |
cheers pat - 14k posts - busy little bees! longest drum roll over, as somebody once said. one day rodney... |
Welcome back mk - good time to take 2.5 years off - you haven’t missed much. Only 14,000 posts to review and half of them are SSB’s charts, so shouldn’t take long. |
hey folks - long time "introduce the option to duplicate an existing project?" mentioned this to support before, fundamental really. also access to some kind of restorable version history though expect this tied to team working / review so quite meaty. have lost edits couple of times when undo history has been lost, little red icon appeared, was a while ago now so might have been addressed. nevertheless some kind of auto save and access to that history will be a must for people who edit for a living. golden rule - don't lose the customer's data. if we can be the least flaky offering out there that would count for a lot. |
Pat
Yes I would like something like that |
NickB - would it make sense for them to introduce the option to duplicate an existing project? I don't think you can atm…? If you could then you could upload your various digital brand assets, arrange them in different ways on the timeline, and then every time you want to create a new video you could duplicate that project and work from there, deleting what you don’t need…it’d be like a starting template. |
I think the company generally gets most of its shareholder feedback from the GUILD, but especially the CULT, threads. |
Invest360
Okay A good request you could make that should be very easy for them to do is to assign a colour to each clip in the browser
Interview 1 colour Blue Interview 2 colour yellow On and on
The clips in the timeline would then be that colour depending on which intv clip is being used This is normal editing practice with say an Avid
Re bottom 3rd captions (again the often used pro method) What I do is make them in a graphics package perhaps with your company logo then export them as a PNG with alpha channel They import into elevate great
You could just make the background of the title and use basic text for the name.
Hope that helps
I suspect you will soon see gfx templates We now have a colour generator next could be a shape generator |
Invest360 makes a good point, as a user, about currently missing essential features of elevate. Is there a good route or channel anyone here knows of to get that feedback into the company and actioned? |
Thanks pat_cash for explanation. |
