A friend is doing the certified director course here in Ireland.
I expect you have to offer something to the company, successful career, doorway into something, etc. I expect several corporations would want her on their board.
For example, Honeycutt was with Google and having his name attached to Blackbird could be seen as cool. If you have done your director exams and offer something a company would want, then €20k per annum is yours for sweet FA.
It's a bit like Linda Evangelista saying she wouldn't get out of bed for less than €10k. Are you a super model? Are you a heavyweight? Are you in demand? If so, go for it.
You could always do yourself a favour, cut your losses, sell your shares and invest them in another company which better matched your investment profile.

Well Veed don't give anything away about the platforms they use for it's operation. Will it scale to millions of creative users? Without them supplying knowledge about how Veed works we will never know until the crunch. Do they have any patents?

All it reflects is 10k users that have registered and clicked on the registration email.
It could simply be a company paid to do so. As others have said, where is the content from editors showing how elevate.io rates versus veed.io etc.
It's not there. If it was popular, it'd be a simple way to get views and money but nobody is doing this. why?
My guess is about 10 - 20 users actually using elevate.io to edit video on a regular basis as distinct from those users who registered and left immediately or used it once or twice.
Maybe I'm too pessimistic but not seeing anything about elevate.io except what I write!

Me and my cofounder tim build the first 3 iterations of the product. The first 2 failed, the last iteration was Kinda working as we knew there was a market. (For some reason we where trying to make a product that was 100% original, bad idea)
We ran out of money in November (500 weekly users) and both got contract work. The first month contracting we, worked evening and weekends. We when hired a remote dev to help us out part time. He was and still is amazing and is the best hire we have made. Growth was slow but going up and we needed to make a lot more changes that we where not able to do (about 2 months ago)
Myself and tim have sacrificed a lot... we put the majority of our salary and tine into the product. It’s hard emotionally and financially. But we do this because we believe it’s going to work long term.
So we are now 4 part time devs, two are writing code. Tim is code reviewing, i am making and designing. Next week I am going full time and have 6 months run way in me. The plan is to make www.veed.io a profitable company in that tine frame!

Also, all users are registered as you can't 'use' elevate.io without registering. So if we have 10,000 users we must have 10,000 registrations. Very basic logic! |

Agree on registrations versus users. I would estimate we have about 10 - 20 regular users between investors and Blackbird staff.

I need to stick more money into our startup. Beginning to feel a bit like SS must have felt working for free for so long! Does anyone have a general estimate of when the price will break 10p?
The only thing I can guess is that they're in some kind of negotiations as the pace orf development is glacial. They had tond of features in eva before im shut it down.
My guess either negotiations or sumit is a perfectionist. I hope the latter as they don't seem capable of negotiations.
If the latter then we can probably expect to wait until end q1 before newsflow that could influence price, so maybe drifting back to 5p in the interim.

I still can't find any third party comments on the internet about elevate.io .I find this slightly concerning. I would have thought at least one of the 10,000 users would have written or vlogged something about it. I mean YouTubers are normally quick to pounce on a new product, I would have expected at least one by now even if they would receive no financial return for the review.
Is Blackbird refusing requests for elevate.io to be reviewed? and if so, why? Surely the product is now in the public domain and users should be allowed to comment on it, obviously making clear it's under ongoing development. |
