No a proper bounce!

R:R 1:1 and 95% success rate, i will settle for that!

Have an initial target of 13,370 for Euro, be strange to get a bounce before that.

20 mins before this post it had already bounced from 13,373?

a risk/reward of 1:1 is all you need to know, of course if you win 51 of 100 your up, as long as theyre all nominally similar, but any other outside factors to take into account when looking at the trade arent a 'system' imo, it becomes discretionary, which is fine, but then it undermines the systems targets/stops. each to their own, for example i wouldnt take a trade unless its at least 5:1.

joe, do you see where the stop level is?!

I generally use the overall target to look for set-ups on the 15min after a 4hr trigger, none came until we reversed back to short after 6100 was printed. The system keeps you out of trouble, but even if you had gone short on the Dax at 4hr trigger, you would have had a lot of heat, yes... but now look?! that's the whole point of the stop/target!

tpb; It may be R;R 1:1, but it has a phenomenal success rate if you have the patience to wait for all the criteria during a set-up!

When they fail its usually your own mistake in interpretation of the set-up or impatience ignoring all the criteria!

I do still take wrong trades and often stop myself early if i see a conflict, but this has proven to be my undoing, placing stop and target on every set-up and walking away is the best policy.

very big nominal risk reward, ratio of 1:1, not very attracive imho mate. how much did you make though, thats all that counts :)

My systems going mental at the mo with no sign of a bottom yet. FTSE, DAX, Euro and Audi all saying down. Sub 5470 Dax for starters, 5282 FTSE coming soon...

Well in the end, PA has breached the stop level for the long set-up, so that's now negated. Shame i fell for it really as i was short from a fair bit higher than this on Monday. Lower target is now in play, (13,265)...

Here's a chart showing the conflict of interests;

Its since setting up on the 15min for a blast north, so i'm becoming increasingly convinced we will see 13637 today (euro)

and then

Earlier call on the Euro is now cancelled out by a counter-trend buy signal. With both in play its impossible to take anything other than short time frame set-ups for a mo. I think despite the drop yesterday morning, its fair to say the market was giving signals for a bounce, hence this; 'It looks like the bear case is gaining strength, but that could also be a reason for caution... the market doesn't do obvious!' and this;

and then - 19 Nov'11 - 10:16 - 577 of 584 edit

Hmmmmmm, may have to turn a tad bullish for a bit, but needs closer inspection.

Despite seeing bear set-ups, it was long overdue a corrective bounce and the set-ups have been weak recently (euro) the star performer has been the audi. Not sure where we are heading for a mo, but the bull set-up if it plays out will see 13630ish. As usual need more evidence for a bit, as the stop from the short set-up was at 13617 i will be looking out for a 2b reversal...

I now have a possibility of 9854 on the Audi... am still biased short. Until i'm not!

That was an earlier one, a fresh target triggered this morning;

Not sure what's gotten into the Euro though, not joining in todays fun...

Ok, missed a load of this mornings moves and also been out for a bit, but can confirm the downward targets keep printing. I've got 13,265 for the Euro, a stop at 13620 will do...

In fact quite a few set-ups i'm using are weak. I have 5182 on the FTSE as a target, but again its not a convincing set-up lacking early touchpoints of a trendline. It looks like the bear case is gaining strength, but that could also be a reason for caution... the market doesn't do obvious!
and then

Markets been a bit sly from Friday, different algo and nothing that made the drop obvious, (the downside targets still remained, i just expected a slight pullback first to create some decent patterns. That didn't happen). Shame really cos i would prefer a bit stronger set-ups to get short... still the day is young!
