11/1/2020 14:06 | I reckon AIM startups fall into 3 categories like Henry VIII’s wives. Floated, spiked, collapsed. Floated, placed, petered out. Floated, stagnated, suspended. | ![]() yump

11/1/2020 14:00 | Everything will be fine then, as theres a positive explanation for any possible negative. Advertisers are desperate for the next way of reaching their audiences and games might be the very last medium available. Theres the same explanation for every floated startup that needs money. “Define success” Thats a good way out of it. Lets say success is where everyone here makes a big profit and forget about a thriving UK business that continues for 5+ years. | ![]() yump
11/1/2020 14:00 | A sufficiently mature and well capitalised AIM company, which has the structure to become FTSE eligible in the UK and the resources to comply with the extra regulatory and corporate governance burden, may well find that moving to the Main Market is the right move for it. Once on the Main Market, the company can expect to benefit from increased share liquidity, access to more investors and an enhanced profile | ![]() aidenabettin

11/1/2020 13:46 | hazl - "Basically there are some very decent people here who have been loyal to this company throughout. Me included. I would like to see that being rewarded." Yes but the company hasn't been loyal to you and cannot be. The company has no idea who the current 10,000 odd share holders in the various nominee accounts are. Furthermore it also has no idea who the 100,000 odd share holders are who have come and gone over the past year. There are no known institutions or individuals with holdings over 10% that the company can even build up a relationship with. In short you know them because there's only one of them but they don't know you because there's tens of thousands of you. There are only two routes from which you can be rewarded. The first is a takeover at a premium substantial to your average buy price. The second is a growth in the share price at a premium to your average buy price. The first is never going to happen. The directors, brokers and nomads will never allow this because as of today 80% of any buyout cash would be going to 10,000+ faceless unknown mug PIs. No responsible financial concern would countenance this outcome from a takeover. The second is the only route open to you. However AIM market mechanics also prevents this over the long term if there are no institutions that have sizeable holdings to protect. Shares can only rise if the supply and demand formula is out of equilibrium. This is unlikely to occur in the long term because there is nothing to stop directors from issuing shares ad-infinitum like confetti. Quality institutions through their voting power can put restrictions on this behaviour whereas a plethora of miscellaneous unconnected faceless mug PIs cannot. BIDS is a lose lose situation that you are unable to see YET. | ![]() pwhite73
11/1/2020 13:23 | Great article: “ Prior to the acquisition, The Trade Desk was working with Adbrain for two years and knew that their technology worked very well while respecting consumer privacy.” “ The Trade Desk is building a business that will be around for 100 years and becoming public ensures that the company maintains its independence. “Since the IPO, we’ve been able to scale the business more quickly than before through technology and global expansion. I’ve been able to focus on growing the business rather than having to raise capital,” Green mentioned. “I repeatedly remind our team that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and we continue to measure our performance by how much value we’re creating for our clients.” Up 500% since the article | ![]() moneygenxyz
11/1/2020 12:48 | A very old article on the trade desks origins. Have a read yump and then consider that F1, FIFA, NBA and all these AAA games that are not currently working with bidstack still operate on that old ad business model. Crazy isn’t it. | ![]() lukehold
