..BG Group powered up 22p to £14.78 amid speculation that it had received half a dozen preliminary bids for its 65pc stake in India's Gujarat Gas.

sf, led by miners and banks...

.. couple of things , decent results and outlook in USA for Alcoa after the the close last night helping the miners, and Fitch more or less saying it won`t be cutting France AAA rating this year , good for the banks.


We`re stuck at 1470p again ! :-)

Indian firms 'set to bid for Gujarat stake'
The Adani consortium of Indian state-run companies led by GAIL India and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) are reportedly preparing to bid for BG Group's stake in Gujarat Gas in a deal valued at about $900 million.
