Chart
-0.3% over a year. Exactly the same as the FTSE.
Bit of FTSE outperformance since beginning of Jan. but back in lockstep.
Not compelled - results are everything.

Here`s a funny thing..

from Bloomberg..

Glencore just hired a commodity ship at a rate of MINUS $2000 per day . Massive oversupply of shipping.

Mmmmmm.
Phil,
Every employee at BG is carrying around £0.5million in debt, so this is forecast to rise to three quarters of a million and us owners are supposed to be sanguine?
By way of contrast each employee of RDSB carries around a promisary note of just £155,000.
My yield on BG is about 3%, which I feel comfortable with - I suspect that when the Tintins run their rules over the results and the potential for falling gas prices to affect profitability is factored in, we are in for a long term downtrend.
The proposed deluge of riches is not due for 2 or 3 years and there is plenty to go wrong between now and then.
China's involvement as a joint venture would be the analgesic.
"Selling down" is for the minors, not the majors! Don't rate this Tony Shepard Tintin. I bet IC will really rate the share, whatever the results :-)
I don't sell unless there is bad news, but I sure ain't adding without new information
Hope I'm wrong, but it is too easy to be forever positive when one owns a share.
GLTA for next week's Finals.

Independent newspaper market report...

"It was not a good session for the oil groups in general, with BG sliding 7p to 1,425p as traders cited concerns that next Thursday's full-year results could be accompanied by a possible fund-raising, although analysts have recently played down the likelihood of this being required."

Solid stock, which will go higher. (Can't vouch for 'Tintins forcasts)Takeover prospect too. Racier stocks abound, I have some, but happy to be here also.best of luck

BG yields about 1% and the Tintins' forecasts for growth are not that high.
I'm struggling to figure out the attraction of BG.
It's a bit embarrassing as I am sitting on 30% profits.
Any kind folk care to provide a one line answer for an investor who's obviously quite dim?
