foxx999, thats what i mean, alot of selling but price hardly went down, and someone must have been buying up all the sales, i bought in at 52p at the last placement, and sold out before xmas at like 26.25p, at a big loss i might add, but thinking of getting back in again.

Daytrader, I apologise, I was wrong. I accept a good number of trades went through yesterday for Bezant, buys and sells don't forget though and at a stable price. It's not as if the seller couldn't find a bid.

I believe in the assets at Mankayan, i strongly belive in gold fields intentions to purchase that asset and i buy in to the potential of eureka. However, my dilemma is a mgmt that have undermined their credibility by taking a bonus from a loss making company and issuing rather vague rns news. On their website the last research note or presentation is from early 2011... It just isnt professional.

Look i expect 90-95% of investors here are sitting on a loss. The sector has jumped in the new year and the chart at the top of this page doesnt lie. The share price is the only important measure of success. demand more - e mail the company and ask for answers

VXD, no word on ex-div date yet so if you buy you will get whatever divi comes our way.Day trader - relentless selling? Did I miss something, nothing has happened price or volume wise for long time.Personally, I am more than happy here. I think Goldfields now owning 21% of Bezant is great news, and I think from here we will see an attractive return with lower risk than say 6 months ago. I understand Tiger's frustration, but you either believe the BOD are doing their best for shareholders or not, and if not then I'm not sure why anyone would hold.

I don't understand all the relentless selling here all week, especially today, why when the markets are at highs ? mind you i think someone might be building a stake, as the share price hardly dropped.

Hi there guys

I've been in and out (held long term and traded) of Bezant since before the scoping study.

I not currently in (although am thinking about it again) but my Dad is (on my advice ....fortunately he's one of the old school investors who think v long term...just as well for me, given what's going on here at Bezant).

I just have a question:

If I were to pick up some shares now again, would I be eligible for the 7p divi and the rest later still?? If so, when is the cut-off for this eligibility? Is it the RNS announcing the divi?

Thanks in advance, if anyone can set me straight.

'The authorities' approvals process in the Jujuy Province is anticipated to resume shortly (1), following the recent summer recess (2), and a further update will be provided in due course (3)'

(1) In other words we don't know when (and only 'anticapated' to resume)
(2) The recent summer recess - At what point did they know there was one? Especially considering they thought they would get a decision in late Dec!!!
(3) update in due course - in other words we dont know

The blandest and infuriating response to missing original RNS informed date. At what point will they create shareholder value? The share price is the only measure of success and they have overseen negative returns whilst receiving a bonus!

SP now 24p. Return the 7p a share now and actually give us some positive news

No I dont. It is farcical. They originally put out an RNS stating the decision was scheduled for December. Today they state there was a summer recess! Were they not aware of this before?

They also dont seem to have a date for recommencement of reviews - not our review - but all reviews. Where are we in that chain?

They made a complete blunder with the RNS in November and now look more foolish correcting it 2 months later with yet another RNS that raises more questions than answers. It seems they are intent on making shareholders suffer.

Whilst the sector motors on this year we reside at an share price reflective of the incompetence the mgmt have projected via RNS.

As a shareholder I have always had believe in the importance of Mankayan to GF and believe the option will be exercised (the main risk being political - PH decision on FPIC, FTaa etc). As to Eureka I believe again they have 'discovered' a potential great acquisition and the political situation in ARg may change this year. But they fail to get their message across to the market, and the last two RNS messages published do nothing to aid their credibility.

So whilst they wait for the go ahead to turn potential into JORC compliant resources what is happening at Eureka? What is the so called 'good' relationship with Jujuy local officials getting us (where would we be if it was bad!!)

They owe something more......A share purchase (with their own money) would be a start........

Maybe it is time for the directors to get another bonus - the sector performance has outstripped a rather lack lustre performance here and the decision on Eureka heralded in an RNS back in November - expected in Dec - passed without public comment!

The share price is the measure of success and the rewards for shareholders have been non existent.....

Erm I think you are letting emotion get in the way of rational debate.

Firstly, I greatly appreciate your efforts and hard work you have put in. What I am saying is that with elections until May , therefore governing structures closed and the draft mining bill still some ways off it would seem that suggestions the FPIC is somw way down the line has some credence. I read everything I can - internet pages, newsflow, official and unofficial news, weigh it up and make my mind up. if I relied solely on company RNS then I would be investing/deinvesting with the crowd and not making money which is what this is all about.

Only time will tell. One thing we can agree on is that the BZT share price has not performed very well over the last twelve months and those that took part in the placement at approx 50p have a justifable grievance.

As to your last sentence I agree and thats why I am invested. I dont think they will walk away but may have to make the option decision based on a 40% holding in FSE rather than 60%. All in my own opinion and wish everybody here the best of luck. And I apologise if you took my reply the wrong way it wasnt intended to rebuke only to state my own opinion.

i dont have an opinion on the articles so nothing to agree or disagree on. You asked me to speak to bernard about it, i have and he has told me goldfields said they were false. If you prefer to use random unregulated internet pages to get your information about what GF are doing instead of the company's official RNS services then that is up to you! Its not how i invest but that we can agree to disagree on!

My personal belief is that GF have not spent close to $20m on mankayan to date only to walk away from it.

I suppose we must agree to disagree - I think to just reference the official website of the parties concerned will not give you a full 360 degree picture. Lets reconvene on this subject in 6 months - you may just change your mind..

Hi all

I managed to pop down to the GM today and had a quixk chat with Bernard about the new option agreement, eureka and goldfields.

So just to recap , goldfields and bezant renegotiated the option agreement for Gf to aquire 100% of mankayan. The new deal sees GF becoming a shareholders in BZT via a placing to raise 7.5m. The proceeds of this placing of new shares will then be given back to shareholders ( except GF) in a special dividend of 8p a share in 3 months time.

The full option to acquire mankayan has been put back a year till jan 31 2014.
The new deal allows BZT to return around 1/3 of the current shareprice now in a special dividend this year and then once GF take up the option in a years' time the remaining dividend, aprox 22-23p will be returned also.
So in total we receive the same dividend all being well, just a year later and with goldfields as a major shareholder.
Will goldfields take up the option in 2014? Well i put this to Bernard and he was adamant that BZT have made it incredibly clear to GF that they will not extend the option again and that any failure to exercise the option would see BZT returning to the other interested parties immediately.
Bernard was very confident that goldfields both want and need the project and they are working on exploration at mankayan now. A positive sign.

Regarding eureka the company is still awaiting the mining license from the argentine authorities. This was due by 20th December but as we all know that also coincides with quite a large festival! I think a little too much optimism by the company to expect it over christmas.

These things have a habit of dragging out in my experience and although the company seems positive it will be soon i will not be surprised to see it take quite a while longer. I should add that is only my opinion though.
The potential at the project is certainly there though and whilst the main focus for now is on the 650,000 tonnes of CU at 1% in the oxide ore body there may well be a much larger sulphide ore body below.

(oxide ore types sit on top of sulphide ore types and are usually around 1/5 the size smaller. i.e we could be looking at a sulphide body of around 3.5m tonnes of contained copper if an sulphide ore body is present. That would be a game changer!)

The company's plan it to bring the resource up to JORC standard ( the industry wide standard) and then look to develop it or sell it.

Over all i think things are coming together nicely and if we can wait a year we will be reward.

Any questions email me and i will try to answer them over the next few days.

Does sound like a long road 'FPIC within the calendar year'

This article suggests they will allow their MPSa to run out and look for a FTAA in 2015!! So the very importnat question is how does this impact GFs option decision with BZT. I always thought that getting the FTAA would be the driver for our option. Now the FTAA will not be forthcoming until 2015 this changes the game completely........

Thomas, please can you ask about the impact of this. Thanks

Hi,

They replied to my e mail 'the company is awaiting communication from the Unit of Mining Environmental Management ('UGAMP') in Jujuy and will release an update to the market once such communication has been received'

So no explanation as to why the date slipped from December as indicated in their RNS. I suppose it begs the question whether GF were looking for the approval prior to the EGM - which would make their investment a little more secure.

I was just disappointed to see a RNS communication pre AGM saying they expected a decision in December which prempted any questions on the subject but let the self suggested date pass without comment.

The only question that is of immediate interest is that with the funds supposedly being received from GF immediately after the EGM (if successful) can the agreed monies be advised and distributed ASAP. If not why not? thanks
