08/7/2007 18:39 | BP fair comment but when I look around the markets these days I am trying to identify a company where the present fundamentals does not reflect the current shareprice and I am pleased to say that BET fits that bill. There are too many overvalued stocks around presently who are being bought up as liquidity remains poor and people buy them on a hope of the future. Even if we take your scenario it would represent a good 50% gain from these levels which most traders would be pleased with.I presumt that is the level you are looking at reentering your trade here. | run rabbit
08/7/2007 17:18 | Asia-Pacific online gaming to grow at 15.7% a year | tornadodown
08/7/2007 12:47 | Since I first suggested this in Oct 2003 on a different thread, BET has done nothing at all (I am sorry to say). The few who have made any money out of it are those who have dumped on the occassional spike. Me included I must admit. Poor suckers who bought this at up to 15p this time last year. How a bookie with a tote monopoly cannot make a decent net profit out of a £70 million turnover (down from above £100 million) is something I have never worked out. Just 3% would be fine! The statements are always the same - "good progress", after which they raise more cash. Around 5p offer is I reckon fair value for BET for a punt. The real hope is for a takeover by one of the bigger players at about 10p. That turnover has to be attractive. Meanwhile, the names on the bet thread changes every year as holders get bored with the lack of movement. Who can blame them? Four years latter and BET has done nothing apart from chewing through the Burnbrae cash. Afraid its a dawg. Dont trust it and dont get attached. Oh yes, "this time it will be different". Nope - a serial disappointment. So I suggest, watch for the 5p level and then its usual spike to around 8p and then put your cash somewhere else. All imho. | barnetpeter

28/6/2007 11:47 | That could be the type of project that will drive BET to profitability. I think it will be very interesting to see the take up. | run rabbit
28/6/2007 11:15 | seeing as they are planning a marketing increase in the next two months, it will obviously raise bet profile and maybe generate some more interest. | sea7

Revenue in the United States is expected to grow 6.7 percent a year to $79.6 billion from $57.5 billion, while in the Asia Pacific region it is forecast to grow 15.7 percent annually to $30.3 billion from $14.6 billion, becoming the world's second largest casino market. 21/6/2007 23:35 | Seems to be stuck in a rut and awaiting some further news to drive this off it's lows.Still believe that the company will deliver mind you. Will accumulate at this level and hold for the good times. | tornadodown
19/6/2007 13:22 | my guess is that they're working on a capital increase? company is still subscale. they have a nice product but visitor numbers are too low. advertising/alliance with major non-sportsbetting player is necessary to get away from a marginally profitable life... | pjetr |
