How does a tender offer work? Like when would you have had to have held the shares from?

485p Tender Offer wow. Ok only for 7% but I still hold shares I bought in 2010/11 for between 17-20p.

Trading better than expectations means that finnCap have raised their forecasts for year ending 30/4/19 by 12.5% to £1.8m with EPS of 15.4p

BOTB has announced an encouraging pre-close H1FY19 trading statement, highlighting

“revenues and profit before tax generated tracking ahead of market expectations for the current financial year”.

We therefore increase our FY19 PBT forecast by c14% to £1.6m from £1.4m. BOTB’s performance therefore stands out amidst the general malaise affecting companies exposed principally to UK consumer spending. Over the past month BOTB’s share price has fallen c15%, caught up in the aggressive market-wide sell-off, and therefore represents a buying opportunity, in our view.

Prelims comfortably ahead, 6.5p special div | finnCap, 8 June

"Adj. PBT of £1.5m is 7% ahead of our upgraded expectation and shows 43% y-o-y growth, driven principally through a meaningful improvement in both gross and operating margins. Cash generation meanwhile continued to be very strong with FCF/adj. PAT >100% for the fourth consecutive year. This meant a year-end cash position of £2.1m, of which £0.8m will be distributed to shareholders through an ordinary and special dividend of 1.4p and 6.5p respectively. We upgrade FY18E adj. PBT by 6% (suggesting 8% y-o-y growth) – conservative assumptions we believe, considering that BOTB plans to increase its marketing spend by c.70% to £2m, which if used as effectively as previous years, provides upside risk..."

Hi Paul,

Continuing the overseas theme the latest winner seemingly hails from Helsinki.

It has been a fantastic investment for me to, tempted to sell out on various occasions but holding on has brought dividends several times my buying price and huge capital appreciation.

My only disappointment is that the physical side has not grown as after sitting in a cafe watching punters buy tickets at Westfield Shopping Centre a couple of years ago I thought that this could maybe rolled out to other centres and maybe race meetings etc.

I bought a few plays after speaking to the guys at Copenhagen Airport (no longer a physical venue) and agree it is a bit of fun but fortunately my interest is in holding the shares rather than buying the product!

Hi Jeff H - many thanks for the interesting links about overseas winners.

The upside could be really exciting, if they can find a way to economically recruit more overseas players.

I've been delighted with my investment here, having held for a couple of years now. The special divis have also been fantastic.

I really enjoy playing the game myself, online. It's so much more fun than other forms of gambling. Also, getting close most times, and the booby prizes credited to my account, incentivises me to keep playing.

A nice little company. Management are great too, I've met the top 2 guys, and they're solid, trustworthy people.
