13/5/2002 09:29 | Will today's announcement mean anything to the shareholder of BGP? | benjuya
09/5/2002 08:59 | If Peter Johnson, as the finance director of the company found out the company was trading unlawfully and did not report this to the FSA he acted illegally. Did he not report it because he was paid a large goodbye. reported to be several hundred thousand pounds. ??? | hls4me
08/5/2002 00:00 | A couple of questions that someone could maybe shed some light on : On 23/8/01 it was announced that Peter Johnson had resigned after less than 6 weeks in the post. Why so soon ? Did he not like something ? How much was he paid ? Have any of the BGP Directors purchased any of the BGP Assets from within a new company ? Regards DAG | dag1967

28/4/2002 11:47 | hls4me, I will be talking to a newspaper reporter on Tuesday regarding the Bioglan Action Group & the way Bioglan, the banks & Andersens have conducted this fiasco. May I give him the details you mention above? Although he may have already read them. Regards & good luck. DAG | dag1967
26/4/2002 13:44 | HI just to let you know the other human side. Many employees, myself included were well and truly shafted by Bioglan and Andersens'. It was not all employees who contributed to the fall of a once good company, that blame lays with the directors and MD's. WE employees lost wages, holidays, benefits and pension contributions because of the heavy handedness of Andersens'. They acted illegally in sacking employees in one of the Bioglan company's that was not even in administration at the time of the redundancies being made. They also guaranteed payments that have since not been made. They are so incompetent that they are now being hassled by the DTI because they are if not deliberatetly then at least incompetently sending them the necessary information so that employees can be paid their redundancies. They also do not answer or reply to calls from employees. I personally have tried for several weeks to contact Richard Hazel, David Duggins and Ian Best but alwas get voice mails, secretaries whp say they are on the phone and in general flogged off. I have now spoken to the DTI who have said we might have to take Andersen's to a tribunal to get what is rightly ours, sad isn't it, not only being made redundant and illegallyat that but also not getting the minimum government payout because of Andersen's. Anyone else having these problems or know of any solutions, lawyers are out because they are too expensive. | hls4me

18/4/2002 21:40 | Yet another piece of information to add to the puzzle | dag1967
18/4/2002 18:41 | Perhaps this was the earlier RNS announcement in Dec: LONDON (AFX) - Bioglan Pharma PLC said it is to sell its generics telesales business GenPlus to Ethercorp Ltd for a nominal cash sum. GenPlus is the first operation to be divested under Bioglan's programme to dispose of its non-core activities. The company announced on Oct 19 that it will focus on the core areas of dermatology and the development of its Biosphere drug delivery system and sell its generic and contract manufacturing businesses. GenPlus, which was established last year as a means of increasing Bioglan's penetration of the UK generics market, operates as a pure telesales business and sells principally third party products to major pharmacies. It had sales of 4.483 mln stg in the year to January 2001 and made a profit of 4,000 stg. The net assets at Jan 31, 2001 were 4,000 stg. Ethercorp is effectively taking over GenPlus' working capital arrangements, including paying off the associated overdraft. | wetdream
18/4/2002 12:13 | Benjuya I have no idea - I can't find any information on how much they paid for the business or if we are likely to get anything in return. It does sound a bit dodgy - a company can go bust and then its senior Management can buy the business back cheap from the administrators. As I say I don't know any of the details only that Niche Generics are contacting all of their suppliers advising of the purchase of Bioglan | glynwiseman
18/4/2002 09:55 | glynwiseman, If this is true ..... any idea what this would mean to the shareholder? | benjuya
