"They were a lot quicker in World War II"..... Sweden played double agent with both Britain and Germany primarily in the field of ball bearings.Nothing moved without ball bearings at that time.Post the Dambuster raids, things got back to normal quicker than anticipated because Sweden exported ball bearings to Germany in large quantities to make up production shortfalls.Meanwhile, ball bearings were sold to Britain with Royal Navy convoys running Germany blockades. Thus Sweden has a long and illustrious history of providing the world with iron ore derivatives but I suspect that in the 30s and 40s little consideration was given to noise pollution effecting reindeer. That's progress for you.

Well kick this one around FOOTBALL..........

Since 2010 to 2012 BEM raised £8.4m in 4 issues
The two in 2011 - May £1m at 45p per share and the other for £6m at 15p per share in November.

July 2013 the Lanstead deals were done as well as one in 2014. I have not used these two deals in my calculations.

I do not value any other mining licenses in the so called BEM portfolio but I do value the AIM listing.

If the license for the mining license arrives by the end of February then my value per share for BEM comes to 3p.

I am still topping up at low prices..................

They were a lot quicker in World War II selling the iron to the Germans to make tanks but not so many greens about then. Unless you count the ones in camouflage clothing.

Not a lot one can say about the slowness of the Swedish government and Bem's application.

I will post soon what I think BEM is worth and it is more than 1.5p........

My NY desk emailed me this clip...........FRIDAY 23 Jan 2015.

It just gives an insight as to what is going on in the IO market but as BEM is no where near mining what it has in the ground, there still remains the cash flow sheets to be updated by the new board to keep an eye on financing opportunities and potential profits.

Iron ore miners are broadly lower after Goldman Sachs becomes the latest global bank to deliver a dismal outlook for the steel-making ingredient, forecasting an average price of $66/metric ton this year from an earlier estimate of $80.

Goldman is at least the fifth bank this month to lower estimates, citing rising seaborne supplies and weaker demand growth from China; just last week, Citigroup cut its iron ore forecast to $58 in 2015, down from its earlier $65, and UBS lowered its target to $66 from $85.

I think we should just watch what the new board does which is not very much in these markets.

In the long term 1/3 years they have a number of options but as my NY office said the other day which bank has the surplus cash to structure a deal when deflation and prices of commodities are still falling?

Wait for the dust to settle - get the accounts finished - get the licenses and take stock in April when the weather turns better and a little more drilling can take place. Then they can prove to us all how good they are.

In the meantime and if the price falls I will top up again but not at these offered prices............

anley, do you think they will mine themselves? I have always believed an outright sale or JV will be on the cards.

I have researched the Lanstead share deals and have come to the conclusion that their price to B/E would be in the order of 4p. Readers must make up their own minds as to what could happen next.

BEM has breathing space for the next few months while it gets it audit underway. Last year we had the results fairly early but the AGM was not until late June. So in the meantime the new management needs to wait for the Swedish government to grant the mining licenses which will hurry the company in to finding more capital to finish the project and ................put it up for sale or try and do the mining itself?

Its your guess for 2015 as to how the story unfolds.

I agree with the comments - wish I had the funds to top-up but right now I am up to my neck in this and so far under water with an average of 20p.

I also topped-up this afternoon. New CEO/BOD have made a great start and I'm more bullish than I have been in years at the way BEM is being run. If only we could have had these new people sooner.........

SS, I agree with you, hopefully this disastrous Lanstead inflicted (with large drop in IO prices too) downturn is over after the heinous act perpetrated by the dastardly CSP has been stopped!

Lets hope 2015 is a much better year for all LTH.

Must be good news, even if today's price-action suggests otherwise.

I think it's reasonable to assume the final £150k equates to a higher share price than today's, but within the parameters of one or other of the Lanstead agreements, otherwise why would BEM do it? From Lanstead's POV it's still in their interest so they do not have to give back any of the allocated shares when, presumably, they too are confident of a higher share price in the future.

You have to assume talks are advanced on either a JV or cheaper funding source for
today's news to have taken place. All IMHO etc

BUYWELL........different circumstances back in 2013 as we approach 2015 with new management and a new set of economic circumstances. AND charts are only an indication of what has happened and what may happen depending on the way an individual interprets the future.

It is not that there is no growth in the world - there is - but as and when the EU resolves the Euro problems and growth returns then you have to ask yourself what is the value of all the drilling, reports and the fact that there are millions of good Iron Ore in the ground?

Have you put a value on all this and so have the broker at 18p BUT I am going to push them soon in updating their last report?

JOKKMOKK Mountain State's notice of Kallak expected to come in January.

Jokkmokk Iron Mines has applied for exclusive rights to Kallak deposit, called a mining concession. Do they approved the Mining Inspectorate permit valid for 25 years.

On 1 October, the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten, which is a heavy consultee on the context, the Committee is against the mining company's application, noting that the ore transport could harm reindeer herding. For a while it looked like the Mining Inspectorate would have time to treat Kallakärendet before Christmas, but on Monday announced Show details Åsa Persson that it drags on.

- It was too stressful. It will probably be after Epiphany, she says.
