BBI HOLDINGS PLC

Secures acquisition financing from world leader in rapid diagnostic testing

BBI Holdings Plc ("BBI"), the AIM listed developer and manufacturer of rapid
result diagnostic tests for the point of care market, announced today it has
secured a financing commitment to accelerate the growth of the Company from
Inverness Medical Innovations Inc. ("IMI") of up to £7.5m by way of an unsecured
convertible loan. The loan will be convertible at BBI's discretion for the
purpose of financing defined acquisition objectives at any point up through the
expiration of its term on 31 March 2007 based on a strike price of 125p.

Julian Baines, Managing Director of BBI made the following statement; "We are
very happy that IMI, the industry leader in Point of Care, has shown further
support to BBI through its commitment of funds that will enable BBI's growth to
be significantly accelerated and we look forward to a continued successful
working relationship with IMI. The availability of the acquisition finance
facility has the potential to achieve a stepped-change in the activities of BBI
as it seeks bolt-on acquisitions to scale-up its already successful growth
strategy."

I reckon we're all going to do very well out of BBI, and there ain't many of us right now! No insider info, it's just one of those I did my research on, and I am very happyto hold. If I was a brave man I'd sell everything and stick it in BBI - as it is, I have aoround £6k in shares, but as it gets a wider audience I Will look to increase.

No problem - yep Shares liked it last year. Last update in Nov where they saw BBI making good progress which they thought would only improve.
Be interested if anyone has the full Teather note?

New forecasts from Teather and Greenwood on the 24/07:

Pre Tax Profit of 2.48 million and EPS of 6.50.

Thats a forecast of EPS growth this year of 86%, giving a PER of 12.4
and a PEG of just 0.14.

Vastly under-rated. The re-rating will happen, its just a matter of how soon.

Agreed - good set of results - vastly under-rated - what does it take to get some momentum ?

Bought some today.

I have had these on my watch list for over 6 months
And with full year results this Tuesday I think BBI will enjoy a substantial re-rating over the next couple of months. The share price has been remarkably stable during the last year and with earnings now growing very rapidly, it looks set to move strongly ahead.

THe prospective PER is 18 with EPS growth of over 40%, giving a PEG of just 0.44. Far to low imo for such powerful growth and in what is a very highly rated sector.

Newsletter For The Week Ending 9th July 2006

The other reporter of note last week was BBI Holdings (has the same chairman as Immunodiagnostic) which made what looks to be a very attractive little bolt-on acquisition.
