BATM will be well positioned for this given their development on molecular diagnostic tests for multiple respiratory pathogens which received CE certification and was launched at the end of 2022.

Interesting piece from Edgility twitter. There are a lot of other uses not mentioned in the transport sector alone. For instance traffic lights are varied in the length of time required to allow busier lanes more time. 5G with Edge could monitor this in actual demand time rather than on a timer.

Here’s a link which puts a lot of what Telco Systems do from an overall perspective. You need to scroll down and click on the video.

I am down in Southern US at the moment and there is a noticeable uptick for Covid Test kits again plus some other concerns they are monitoring. Not sure if this translates into higher demand elsewhere.
Any rate FWIW

Difficult to think there is not going to be a surge in the need for molecular diagnostic testing soon..with China andhttps://news.sky.com/story/virus-strain-similar-to-swine-flu-detected-in-person-for-first-time-in-uk-13017517

In fact this article is very interesting on what is happening in China, suggesting it may well be bacterial rather than viral infection leading to a spike in hospitalisations."However, an increase in children being admitted to hospital since May, particularly in northern cities such as Beijing, is mainly due to Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a bacterium that infects the lungs."https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-03732-wDoes Adaltis have a specific diagnostic for this ?https://www.adaltis.net/products/molecular-diagnostic-tests/respiratory-tuberculosis/molgen-dna-mycoplasma-pneumoniae-s1/Yup.

Certainly in their field https://www.adaltis.net/products/molecular-diagnostic-tests/nucleic-acids-extraction/What I'm unsure about is the sensitivity on their tests differentiating between pathogens , something well within ADOR field. But if there is a global respiratory outbreak ? sure that Adaltis will have effective diagnostic kit to market..along with many others.

Further investigation reveals Adaltis actually do have a respiratory virus PCR panel test that went commercial (and CE approval) at the end of last year (2022) according to BATM year end results March 2023. Novacyt are shouting loud about their capability in this area at the moment hence their share price sharply up!

Novacyt SA, a clinical diagnostics specialist, said it has won UK approval for its multiplex PCR test for the detection of winter viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). This PCR testing company got UK approval recently for a winter viruses test incl swine flu. Shares, due to the outbreak in China, have risen 50% in the last 3 trading days. Does anyone know if Adaltis can do this? I know there will be a Ador panel test in a year or two, but we are talking old school PCR not molecular here.

We are apparently some way from having agreement on a "lite" product for commercial markets but with multiple attacks on state assets and on the 10 friendly countries that IDF has agreed can be supplied i agree would be good to see further uptake and some diversified income streams..i guess whilst the core cyber software is fully developed one might need significant integration work to incorporate in foreign systems ..lets hope many irons are in the fire.Same with Edgility they talked of a number of ongoing trials ..these things can take time but time is ticking on.

I am surprised we haven't seen more than the one cyber contract announcement as a result of the conflict so far. Or contracts for other Government departments.

https://news.sky.com/story/china-insists-mystery-respiratory-illness-is-from-flu-and-known-pathogens-not-novel-virus-13016770Worth keeping an eye on this situation. There certainly appears continuing huge need for disruptive molecular diagnostics devices ..but one needs a marketable product out there.

Bit of a catch 22 i guess the big boys pay big bucks once they can see the market adopting the technology and the clientele is widening unfortunately that relies on closing sales which is something BATM seem under resourced in. Just hope opportunities are not missed forever by lack of sales people. The big clue in last presentation was a possible US acquisition with sales to feed into US blue chips..nothing more has come through on that yet but for Egility probably it makes good sense. Can't help the concern that we are not the only ones with ready products in these markets and that we get overtaken by the competition. We need clear path to commercial traction in both edge and cyber...pretty soon i guess.Same can be said for ADOR ..markets don't wait forever! And as someone else pointed out with Oxford Nanopore they are not the only player in molecular diagnostics.

The Palo Alto purchase is at a good price, as it fits well with their offering. You would think Celare would also be great fits for defence tech companies like Israel’s Elbit Systems who clearly can’t be short of money at the moment. I am surprised sensible approaches have not been made as yet for Celare or for Edgility for that matter. I just hope BATM is on the radar

Interesting in such a trouble background for technology especially in Israel that there is such encouraging activity.Certainly makes the market value here look somewhat over cautious.Would be good if there was some more order news from any division before the year end.It sounded like much was going on with Edgility but seems slow in closing new contracts.

More commercial application but again it does show the potential value in the cyber division if they can grow a diversified customer base and launch a successful commercial offering I guess.https://www.verdict.co.uk/news/palo-alto-networks-buying-talon/

Fundraise for Israeli cyber business ..raised $35m for a start up ..wonder what a business with proven product and growing revenues might be worth ? Does look like it is hunting in the same markets as Batm but I am told that in terms of the evolution of cyber attacks no one can touch us. No expert but realise it is a big and growing market...as always would be good to see more diverse traction from our division.https://en.globes.co.il/en/article-ex-nso-execs-raise-35m-for-dream-security-1001462971

This is really gaining traction and one area I am familiar with is virtual try ones for Glasses. The low latency means that you can not just see what the glasses look like on your face but you can turn your head from side to side and see the overall effect.
Obviously this is a big “ditto” for numerous other applications.
The applications are endless.
I was involved with an eye glass retailer and a facial recognition company a few years back and the hick up they had would have been sorted out with edge computing but it was not available at that time.

A troll is a being in Nordic folklore, including Norse mythology. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated areas of rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings.
