06/9/2023 19:40 | Modern enterprise networks demand greater agility to support the growing number of remote employees and connected devices while meeting sustainability and TCO objectives. Virtual and software defined networks are leading this transformation enabling service providers with a powerful tool to meet dynamic enterprise customers’ needs. In this webinar, Telco Systems and Advantech will present a flexible network infrastructure solution that streamlines the delivery of virtualized networking and security services such as SD-WAN and Next Generation Firewall. The webinar will also feature CityFibre, UK’s largest open access, fibre only operator, who selected this open hybrid edge compute platform to efficiently deploy, manage, and operate hundreds of thousands of customer edge devices and a multitude of virtual services at scale across multiple sites, supporting throughput levels up to 10Gbps, from a central location. Telco Systems Edgility’s small footprint operating system is able to highly efficiently run multiple virtual services on CityFibre’s choice of Advantech low-power-consumptio | ![]() fse
06/9/2023 15:11 | A brief comment on valuations with respect to disposals and takeovers. The value of a company with new technology is purely what someone is willing to pay for it and that can be a very large sliding scale dependent on a lot of factors. In the past a lot of BATM investors were on board as they expected the company to sell off IP that it had developed and not go to production so to speak. You can count me in with that group. BATM have decided to develop and market their own products and solutions so the company is valued on straight sales fundamentals rather than the value of its IP to a prospective buyer and even in this regard its 2x to 3x adrift of any sane valuation. Added: Re Cyber there was this comment with the release. "We are very excited about the future of our cyber security business, particularly as we look to expand the applications of our cyber offerings and expect further positive news in the near future." I am assuming this refers to plans to offer a commercial version of the Govt Defence contract which would be relevant to a very large audience. It also may mean they are close to disposing of the Government business whilst retaining the commercial aspect. This would mean a very sizeable cash inflow | ![]() fse

06/9/2023 12:07 | Certainly the most useful part of the house broker analyst's update on the back of this contract, which is suitably bullish about the win and the near-term expectations for BATM to close more business, is his comment that he is retaining his current forecasts 'for the moment...'. | ![]() echoridge

06/9/2023 11:05 | Tenable also purchased another Israeli cyber company a while back and have set up a centre in Tel Aviv. Ermetic (not Armatic btw) havent disclosed their revenue figures just that they have quite a few customers being onboarded. Probably we can read this as limited actual turnover at present. BATM's Celare would certainly achieve $100m++ based on current revenue, though from one source, it is rock solid. The pending contracts Moti refers to, again will be from the one Governmental source I would 100% suspect. The key to unlock further value would be for a commercial encryption product to be developed exploiting their IP. Could someone like Tenable with their huge backing do this quicker is the question? | ![]() resistance1

06/9/2023 08:10 | As an lse poster pointed out as well, the little shudder we had recently on the back of fears that the huge street protests around the country might impact the Company's ability to continue to close business with the government appears nicely unfounded. | ![]() echoridge

The buyer, Tenable, is traded on NASDAQ at a value of about $5 billion and in 2019 acquired Israeli Indji for about $100 million [...] Just goes to show the potential value of BATM... 06/9/2023 07:03 | BATM receives $3.4m cyber security contract BATM (LSE: BVC; TASE: BVC), a leading provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, announces that it has received a new cyber security contract, with a value of $3.4m. The contract is for the provision of the Group's advanced software-based cyber solution to its long-standing government defence department customer. The Group will commence delivery of the contract immediately, which is expected to complete within two years. This latest significant cyber contract follows the award of a $26m order earlier this year, and the Group continues to expect to receive further cyber contracts in the near term. Moti Nagar, Chief Executive Officer of BATM, said: "We are very pleased to have received another significant contract for our best-in-class cyber security solutions, and only eight months after receiving our last substantial order. More and more, governments and businesses require cyber security options that are able to defend against increasingly sophisticated threats, and our continued momentum in this area of the business underscores the confidence in our ability to provide these solutions. We are very excited about the future of our cyber security business, particularly as we look to expand the applications of our cyber offerings and expect further positive news in the near future." | ![]() dds14

31/8/2023 18:19 | New variant as reported this evening in UK: Health officials today also confirmed Covid testing and community surveillance would be 'scaled up' ahead of this winter. Although I’m not taking any notice of this latest outbreak personally. If this means the UK Government and Far East Ones start stockpiling ‘non invasive’ tests it could mean our £20m order could be back on. Not a circumstance that alters the overall strategic plan but it would certainly give the SP, dare I say, a ‘booster’ | ![]() resistance1

30/8/2023 15:29 | BATM’s progress is leading to an ‘increasingly attractive fundamental valuation’ Published: 08:27 29 Aug 2023 Edge Computing graphic Shore Capital Markets has reiterated its positive stance on networking and cyber security solutions group BATM Advanced Communications Ltd (LSE:BVC), following the company's interim results for the first half ending June. BATM’s “very pleasing” results, which were in line with the house broker's forecast, showcased good progress across the group, reflecting BATM's renewed focus on core technologies. Total group revenues in the six months ended 30 June 2023 rose to US$60.2 million, up from US$57.5 million in 2022, while adjusted gross margins improved to 35.3% from 31.6% last year. Underlying earnings, excluding share-based payments, increased to US$4.4 million in the first half of 2023, compared to US$3.8 million in the first half of 2022. “Positive underlying revenue trends were seen in the first half across the group,” noted ShoreCap, with BATM’s Edgility edge computing offering set to see revenue acceleration in the following interim periods. ShoreCap was also pleased by BATM’s strong cash position. “We believe that BATM is delivering strong underlying progress across the development of its span of technologies, these moving towards potential market inflection points, presenting a profitable high-growth opportunity to investors,” said analysts. “With commercialisation, positive operating leverage to reported results should be expected in due course - leading to an increasingly attractive fundamental valuation." Added comment this really has become a valuation issue especially after this latest set of results. | ![]() fse
30/8/2023 08:36 | Thanks Kooba. I’m interested in the the bigger picture. I’ve now been invested for 2 years and the question I ask myself is would I rather be in or out at the moment. FOMO keeps me in as I think the next 24-36 months will be transformational if the strategy is effectively implemented. The expansion of cyber can be done organically, but Ador Natlab def needs a JV partner who has an established sales network for health or diagnostic equipment worldwide. Failing that enough cash to set a network up. For Edge I’m sure they will get a stream of low to mid level orders through the door, but to get very large contracts an acquisition looks the best way to buy into existing sales channels. They will need to borrow for this. | ![]() resistance1 |
