06/3/2023 15:39 | We expected a weaker set of results but they were hardly a disaster given the period we are in. Actually companies in this sector have or more aptly will report a weak 2022 we are only starting to get the full effect of this. Investors are fooled by resilient SP's from companies that will have to go to the market to keep afloat it's just not fully in view. BATM do make money and do not need to raise funds to maintain viability and achieve growth. There are 3 major positives out of this report. (1) Edgility is seeing first revenue start to trickle in. This is cumulative revenue and is also revenue from a new area of operations. This has been a while coming and we have had to suffer through years of just talk about NFVTime then Edgility OS. Well it's now in front of us. (2) Medical division is seeing sales increase from non covid targets. I am not going to harp on about this but investors should see the significance of this. ADOR apparently on track. (3) Cyber we knew was a bright spot and it is. BATM hoped to build this up , keep what they wanted and sell the large govt contracts business on. They are on track to do that and the division should achieve a notable sale price. Heres what the company said which looks about the size of it. "BATM performed well during the year to 31 December 2022. Revenue increased by 34.4% from ongoing operations in the Networking & Cyber division, which offset the contribution to the previous year from NGSoft, a subsidiary that BATM sold in 2021. BATM also gained good traction for its Edgility edge computing and virtual networking solution, which is now poised for rapid commercialisation. In the Bio-Medical division, there was a reduction in revenue, as expected, compared with the exceptional performance in the previous year due to the pandemic. When excluding the contribution to both years from sales of products related to COVID-19, the Bio-Medical division revenue grew by 6.7% - with increased sales more than offsetting the negative effect of currency fluctuations." What I don't like is that listings fiasco has not been sorted out. The proposed buy back was IMO unnecessary and a poor use of resources. Announcing it then delaying it even more annoying. Hardly my field but from what I am seeing they should either drop the TASE listing keeping the LSE listing and index inclusion. OR. Move Telco to NASDAQ. At the end of the day this is structural self inflicted which they could fix. The state of the Business is IMO robust and growing. The current share price in no way reflects the value of the company IP. | ![]() fse
06/3/2023 15:29 | Do you think the poor market response to todays results update is connected to governance concerns relating to former and current management? | ![]() pockstones
06/3/2023 15:21 | I've just looked at price spread 23.55/24. What happened to the buyback? Wasn't it agreed at an AGM. Surely the board should honour its commitment. At this price it would be worthwhile or does the board expect it to fall further. The market cap is £105m petty cash for a predator. Clearly nobody wants it. | ![]() car1pet
06/3/2023 15:15 | Actually, this was a pretty bullish report. | ![]() kemche

06/3/2023 09:39 | Edgility should be the big focus with exponential growth expected.Still waiting for the competitor of Cemex to confirm they have agreed a deal, but once deals get in different sectors, then rivals will follow and join up.Ador diagnostics was always talked about as revenue end 2023 and 2024Eco Med has gone quite other than interestingly getting into a hospital. This division might be one looking to offload, if the price is right. The covid contract looks dead, but if it returns it is a bonus. The company also has significant IP in terms of ventilators, that is not earning any revenue and there must be a thought to sell. | ![]() paulisi
06/3/2023 09:22 | "I don't think there is any more than a handful of UK smaller caps, in any sector, let alone Tech, that are forecasting across-the-board double-digit growth in 2023" Au contraire Barry, here are just some of them: CHLL ZED BRSD PANR NANO IES GFIN BRES Each one has been presented as a pairs trade to a receptive audience at hedge fund confrences around the globe. | ![]() kemche
06/3/2023 09:19 | Shop downgrades quite sharp...implying the $25m contract is not coming ..so big hit to current year revs and adj. PBT. The company does manage to make profit warnings sound positive though!Shore.'Theref | ![]() kooba
06/3/2023 09:04 | Actually, this was a pretty bullish report. Obviously, last year's results were well flagged and there were no negative surprises vs, as mentioned, the small positive of what looks like an improvement in the company's cash position. As for the outlook, no matter the flaccid response in the market so far, it was pretty bullish across the board - and WITHOUT including the possible (likely?) resigning of the 25m testing contract with that mysterious SE Asian government. I don't think there is any more than a handful of UK smaller caps, in any sector, let alone Tech, that are forecasting across-the-board double-digit growth in 2023. In particular, there's this: '.....In the Networking & Cyber division, BATM expects the main contributor to growth to be from sales of Edgility - including new customers and expansion with existing customers....' I think that will come as a very pleasant surprise to students of this business like FSE who love the progress with CityFibre but were possibly pushing back their material revenue realisation hopes to 2024+. Meantime, let's see if this buyback returns as I'm hoping..... | ![]() echoridge

06/3/2023 07:46 | Bio med we get a 21% drop in revenues last year but its ok we get a double digit growth this year from the lower base! it looks like the $25m tender result is now not being included in current year forecast ..so might be the last we hear about that ?Unfortunately it all looks very pedestrian and little visibility on bio med side especially on when we might actually see some sales from ADOR..lots of money going in but not sure they have sold anything yet?Strategically appears same old same old..nothing new.As always order backlog high hopes for current year etc etc..think if one looks at last full year report its a wash and repeat..note how 2022 turned out a big drop in revs profits margins and cash held.I think Moti will need to come up with something better than this if he wants the substantial value recognised any time soon!Feb 2022 Zvi"Looking ahead, we entered the new year with sustained momentum across the business and we remain on track to deliver significant growth for full year 2022, in line with market expectations. We have established solid foundations in core technologies that are now at an inflexion point of becoming market disrupters. We will continue to cultivate growth and development across our business as well as pursue opportunities to accelerate the realisation of the value of the IP within our different units through strategic transactions. We have an exciting future ahead of us and we look forward to reporting on our progress and delivering value for our shareholders."March 2023 Moti"Looking ahead, the momentum of the second half of the year has been sustained into 2023 and we expect increased revenue in all our units. Having become the CEO at the start of this year, I have been visiting and meeting our business units, reviewing our strategy and building our plans for delivering sustainable growth. With the solid foundations that we have in place in core technologies that we believe will be market disrupters, t he Board remains confident in the prospects of the business and is working hard to demonstrate the substantial value that exists within BATM." | ![]() kooba

01/3/2023 14:10 | WHAT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES DOES EDGE COMPUTING CREATE? The business use cases for edge computing are rapidly evolving. The following are several trends right now. Immersive Retail Experiences: More responsive, intelligent point-of-sale terminals; connected shopping kiosks; immersive product reviews; mobile inventory lookup; and product inquiry applications. Industrial Measurement: Industrial facilities connect their machinery to track utilization, provide maintenance updates, and notify staff of problems. Supply Chain Inventory Management: Distribution centers use video cameras with AI to analyze inventory levels and keep stock levels nominal. Healthcare monitoring: Medical facilities track patient info to refine diagnostics, prescription doses, and patient condition changes to improve treatments. | ![]() fse
