The corona crisis might be over, but all over Israel adults and children are getting sick with viral infections in a phenomenon that is unprecedented for this time of the year, according to several medical professionals.
“We have never seen anything like this,” said Dr. Tal Brosh, head of Infectious Disease Unit at the Samson Assuta Ashdod Hospital. “We’ve been monitoring viral infections in the hospital, which of course is just the tip of the iceberg of what is going on in the community, as for each hospitalized patient, there are many more out there. Since the spring, we have been seeing an increasing number of respiratory diseases, and since May there has been a surge in RSV cases.”
RSV, or respiratory syncytial virus, usually appears in the winter together with the influenza, and is especially serious for very young children and older, vulnerable adults.

Point being here is that BATM medical are going to be be busy testing and identifying pathogens as an everyday occurrence. We have to learn to live with infectious diseases and their management. Advances in designing messenger RNA to combat diseases and advances in understanding proteins and their role is largely dependent on testing to gauge the severity, the predominance. More advanced tests are able to not just identify a potentially serious pathogen but give vaccine designers so much more information.

I can't understand why a smart man like Zvi cannot see that woke UK IIs have no interest in his company-the fact it is Israeli has much to do with it imo-whatsoever. Americans, at least, give credit where it is due and follow the money. Time to dump the LSE.

While the additional contract news is welcome I am much more interested in the comment regarding integrating the cyber security into the NFV product as I believe this will enable far greater sales down the line.

FSE> In the latest interview with Zvi several comments were notable.

We suspected that Telco were having a problem completing contract POC's etc due to Covid Travel restrictions. Zvi confirmed that this was the case but they were starting to get technicians in face to face consultations where needed and matters were improving and they expect to be able to complete this business so this is a plus in the return to any kind of normalcy.

Zvi also mentioned the SOCS business with ARM neoverse now able to bundle cyber solutions into this platform as well as Telco's own initiatives. NVFTime suite now has a larger target. To the best of my knowledge neither ARM or Intel have a SOCS (solution) for cyber. It would be a major selling point for ARM to offer this and Zvi mentioned as much.

We had an update on the medical division that they were busy and in the shorter term they will supply the lions share of BATM revenue and thats why BATM started this division to offset volatility and time frames in the Networking business.

This is a much welcomed update albeit the general market probably does not have a clue what Zvi is talking about. Encouraging snapshot.

Very lttle impact on the share price. If an RNS is issued for a $4.1m order it suggests any other orders received this year must be small and below RNS level. No dividend announcment as promised. It will need some major announcements to lift the share price. I still strongly believe that Marom needs to step down as CEO and hand over to a commercially minded person to drive what appears to be a company with good products but no sales strategy. OR he allows a takeover

They seem to be integrating a lot of their technology into NFV. Should seem a big surge in revenue in years 2 -3 once NFV takes off.

BATM receives $4.1m cyber security contract

BATM (LSE: BVC; TASE: BVC), a leading provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, announces that it has received a cyber security contract worth $4.1m, of which more than half will be delivered in the current year.

The contract has been awarded by the Group's long-standing government defence department customer. The Group will provide hardware and software as part of its network cyber security solution with delivery commencing immediately.

Dr Zvi Marom, CEO of BATM, said:

"We are delighted to have received this new order for our cyber solution from our long-standing government customer. The recurring contracts show the customer's satisfaction with our cyber security products and services and demonstrate the benefits that our solutions bring. We are also integrating our cyber solution into our NFV product and developing a version aimed beyond the defence industry, which we expect to release by the beginning of next year. This will enhance the appeal of our cyber solution to our NFV clients.

As a result, we expect to receive further orders for our cyber solution during the course of this year."

BATM Advanced Communications Ltd. (LON:BVC) shareholders might be concerned after seeing the share price drop 20% in the last quarter. But that doesn't change the fact that the returns over the last half decade have been spectacular. Indeed, the share price is up a whopping 421% in that time. Arguably, the recent fall is to be expected after such a strong rise. Of course what matters most is whether the business can improve itself sustainably, thus justifying a higher price.

>Goggin... agree with you "testing" is most definitely not going away, the advanced tests that they have now are a compliment to medicine today.
This all started as identifying certain pathogens but is rapidly evolving to not just spotting them, but targeting appropriate treatments.
Some 400 million people apparently contracted Dengue Fever last year. Testing is done via PCR based tests.

Now down almost 50% from July high, someone or something is not impressed with BATM. On the face of it they should be riding high as covid testing kits etc are going to be in demand long term and if not covid, then something else 75p coming up?
