FSE thanks for your reply. I have always followed your posts and have great respect for your knowledge and expertise in this field. I take on board everything you say about products, solutions, and partnerships etc. I just feel that in other companies and circumstances all this future potential is reflected in their share price, whilst BATM seem to have the brakes stuck on. In your view which as I have said is always respected, when will the brakes be released and all this alleged potential be recognised.

The company makes money which it has used to develop a completely new business which from all accounts they are having considerable success with and as a result the share price has risen some 300%. If you are not happy or uneasy holding shares then you should get out IMO.
There is a plethora of information on this thread for those interested in seeing how the company has evolved and progressed.

"BATM Telco systems have a large R&D and development budget which they have used to develop an impressive array of new products and solutions... in house and with zero dilution to shareholders. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

But will this ever be turned into hard profits ?

Arm Holdings's share price increased over 10x when mobile technology adopted their low power technology.
Something similar could be happening with the web, especially with 5G as it requires many more repeaters each consuming power.
With BATM introducing ARM technology and with more and more awareness of the power consumption of the internet, we could benefit.

I agree those that were lucky enough to get in at 15p have done well. I'm talking about those long standing investors who suffered the dramatic falls to 15p and are still trying to recover losses. It all went wrong with the Samsung crash, since then it has all been awards and promises, no profit.

I find it strange that in 2 years we have only had 1 trading update, starting to
wonder weather the main purpose of this company is to actually make money for shareholders, Simon Thompson (IC) gives us a more detailed view of the financials
then our BOD

I am getting concerned that BATM will always be a non profit making development company, with lots of accolades and solutions, all for the benefit of others, and the long standing shareholders who have supported this company for over a decade will never be rewarded. I hope I'm wrong, and would appreciate any comments on my concerns.

BATM to launch market-leading solution under NXP Semiconductors partnership

New NFVTime technology significantly enhances NFV performance with NXP processors built on Arm technology

BATM (LSE: BVC), a leading provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, announces that it has developed a new technology under its long-standing partnership with NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) ("NXP") to enable a significant increase in network traffic, without requiring an increase in computing power, when licensing the Group's NFVTime on certain NXP processors built on Arm core technology. It represents the completion in delivery of a key milestone under the Group's strategic agreement with Arm.

The new technology, which has been developed by the Group's wholly-owned subsidiary, Telco Systems, will allow large enterprises and operators to achieve significantly superior performance levels on a cost-effective small to medium uCPE solution. It achieves this by enabling all virtual open switching to be conducted by already existing hardware components (offloading from the CPU load), which improves processor performance and frees valuable processing resources.

Telco Systems' performance tests of this solution compared with standard software-based virtual open switching have demonstrated a three to five-times increase in virtual network traffic. Another key achievement was approximately halving the latency rate despite the increase in data being sent. In addition, by freeing processor resources, more Virtual Network Functions ("VNFs") can be run or higher VNF performance can be achieved. As a result, customers can benefit from significantly increased performance without being required to increase computing power that would result in greater device size, power consumption, operational efforts and, consequently, cost. This provides a substantial advantage in using virtual networks.

This advanced hardware offloading capability, which enhances the performance of the Group's NFVTime network virtualisation operating system, is integrated with NXP's Layerscape(R) LS2088A and LS1088A multicore processors, which are based on Arm technology.

Dr Zvi Marom, Chief Executive Officer of BATM, said: "The development of this new solution represents another significant step forward in our network function virtualisation strategy and another milestone delivered under our agreement with Arm. Through bringing this capability to NFVTime, in partnership with Arm and NXP, a major supplier of Arm technology-based chips, we'll be able to offer customers major performance enhancements compared with competing offers without increasing their costs. We are confident that this solution will be well-received by the market. As we continue to advance our technology, users of our solutions will be able to gain even more from their networks and optimise performance."

"NXP's Layerscape multicore processors implement a balanced mix of CPU cores, hardware acceleration and high-speed I/O to deliver efficient networking performance for today's virtualised networking tasks," added Tareq Bustami, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Digital Networking at NXP. "Combined with Telco Systems' optimised NFVTime software platform, the solution will enable more efficient and cost-effective customer premise networking."

There’s a fairly large article in the Business section of today’s Sunday Telegraph ( page 6 ) about Unit 8200 of the Israeli Defence Force ( IDF ) . Although no mention is made of BATM , the article explains how , by taking the very best recruits to the IDF , Unit 8200 , a top-secret cyberwarfare unir , acts as an incubator of talent . Although it was some time ago , Dr. Zvi Marom served in the IDF . There are 450 cyber companies in Israel and , although the country’s population is only 9 million , About 20 % of global venture capital investment in cyber security went to Israeli firms last year .

Apart from a few buys showing as sells, the bias still seems to be someone offloading, it's also spooking some small investors, hopefully we've made a bottom @ 42p.

Telco Systems Frees Valuable CPU Resources with Increased Performance Using Hardware Acceleration on Arm-Based SoCs from NXP
New solution increases packet throughput 3x to 5x and lowers latency software-accelerate OVS-SPDK data path

MANSFIELD, MA, June 10, 2019 – Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN/NFV, CE 2.0, MPLS and IP solutions, today announced that it has reached an important performance milestone in the development of a full OVS (Open vSwitch) data path hardware offload solution based on NXP® Semiconductors technology.

This new solution utilizes the NXP Advanced I/O Processor (AIOP) engine and is integrated on NXP Layerscape® LS2088A and LS1088A multicore processors. The solution is a significant step forward in removing a major performance bottlenecks and freeing valuable CPU resources by fully offloading all host virtual switching to the programmable hardware engine integrated on the SoC itself, while providing seamless integration with OVS control plane, OpenStack and the MANO layers.

Telco System’s performance tests have demonstrated a three to five times increase in packet throughput while lowering the latency rate by double when compared to software-accelerated OVS-DPDK data path with a fully deployed VNF. In addition, this solution frees one or more CPU cores, usually fully consumed by host DPDK for use by VNFs. This allows more VNFs to be run or even higher VNF performance to be achieved without upgrading the hardware.

“With our groundbreaking OVS HW offload solution, customers will be able to achieve the performance required by large enterprises or edge compute use cases at the cost of a small-medium uCPE,” explained Ariel Efrati, CEO at Telco Systems. “Significantly lowering the latency also enables our NFVTime solution to support next-generation 5G/MEC use-cases. This technology is strategic for the market as the requirement is driven by leading Tier-1 customers. Telco Systems continues working closely with NXP and its Arm-based SoCs to further optimize and extend its hardware acceleration solution, making it available to VNF vendors as a generic offload API.”

“NXP’s Layerscape multicore processors implement a balanced mix of CPU cores, hardware acceleration and high-speed I/O to deliver efficient networking performance for today’s virtualized networking tasks,” added Noy Kucuk, Vice President Product Management, Digital Networking, NXP. “Combined with Telco System’s optimized NFV-Time software platform, the solution will enable more efficient and cost-effective customer premise networking.”

These product development activities are part of the strategic investment and multiyear joint development agreement signed between Telco Systems and Arm last year
