Hezbollah is nowhere near the same as 'Iran invading Israel', you shameless p.o.s. and since you know less than nothing about BATM, how do you know anything about how it would affect its share price anyway?

And I want to take a moment that I will never get back to address fse's question to this 'lucky' chap. If you waste your time, as I did, to review some of lucky's posting history, you can see he is an otherwise run-of-the-mill punter sharing mostly self-evident comments on a variety of boring companies, with no obvious pattern of trolling, nor any particular interest or insight into the Middle East. So why land suddenly on this board, sharing such an ignorant and hateful comment, seemingly out of the blue? Obviously, I can't possibly answer that for certain. Maybe he's an ignorant, hateful troll who just plays an otherwise unremarkable poster as a cover. Or maybe, having some kind of legitimate posting history, but nothing whatever to do with this company to date, he was asked by one of our (ir)regular trolls to pop over to the BATM board and share a little hateful misinformation in the hopes of spreading fear, because his troll-friend was too gutless to post it himself. Just a thought....

I've done so, resistance, but I'm kind of stumped so far I'm afraid. As you say, the volume figure was almost certainly jacked by some double-counting, but regardless, it does appear that we had huge turnover, and a massive recovery, led almost entirely by retail shareholders. Although a couple of large bargains were printed after the close, I haven't found evidence of any reasonable institutional activity in any size so far. I will continue to investigate Monday however.

Echo. I await your promised reflections on Fridays trading. 5M shares exchanging hands -- you will probably advise it was less than that due to double counting. Hopefully the events of Friday may spur the company in action bringing forward anything that was in the pipeline and settle nerves.

Tough day in Tel Aviv generally, but BATM closed at an equivalent price of just above 22p - or up around 3% on London's Friday close - on light volume.

I can see these dropping a lot further now that Iran are preparing to invade Israel.

I'm going to gather my thoughts over the weekend, but for now, all I have to 'say' about today's price action, volume, trade distribution, level of retail activity, the relative uselessness of the corporate broker, overall, continued heavy small cap selling generally, and the apparent absence of any meaningful institutional support is: how in the f-ck did this share price close down less than a penny, after actually going blue late in the session?!? Amazing poop.....

hey echo enjoyed your trading comments WTF is going on here today.
Sentiment for tech shares in many sectors is just so bad its like a repeat of 2000 except the backdrop is so different and seems completely overdone.
Stocks generally are less attractive when you can get >5% just parking the cash.
I dont know about anyone else but thats what I am doing other than holding shares in BATM so I am not generating any income for new share purchases.
I know from speaking to friends in the field that raising funds for IPO's and extra cash for existing new floats rather tough.
This is not a problem for BATM they have adequate cash and continuing income.
What a mess

And adding GBenson to what your saying. The elements of BATM's business that are in Israel service the Government who will be spending more now most likely.

Don't worry nellyb ADVFN is full of doomsayers/trolls they talk without any knowledge or understanding of the business. BATM is a good profitable well run company that has had its issues, the market we are in needs to show profits for the technology which is taking some time to appear on the bottom line. Nobody knows when the conflict/war is going to cease but sure it will, just wish the people with a massive 18 month short on the company would do one. The majority of the company's business is NOT in Israel we so need to move from that index, imho.

Not relevant but I just can't get my head around why someone would post "10p by December" on this thread.

Thanks echo..did pick up two small lots sub 19p..its a mess out there but that looked to be an over reaction for a financially secure business with overseas businesses and markets. Though there is distress across the smaller company markets at the moment.

All we know for sure is this move was made far worse by a very badly handled block of around 300k shares in the opening auction offered 'at market', which pretty much guaranteed the market would be maximally chaotic for the first few hours. This likely was the result of a clueless institution who never trades BATM, though it could have been the work of someone who wanted maximal damage (less likely). Anyway, the share price fightback, on the back of pretty decent buying is encouraging. note: of all the firms that have advertised they have traded in BATM thus far this morning in any size (and there are around a half dozen of them), JP Morgan stands out as one that never trades the name, so my best theory at this point is that the mega-firm had a sell basket of multiple names from a client and just put their BATM business on the book and accepted whatever price they got as it was just one small name among many and speed was more important than price.
