06/10/2023 20:21 | I'd be happy enough with that compared to getting nothing if it went into liquidation. Anything is better than nothing and gives us all a reason to support the company to a successful future. | paulsavannah
06/10/2023 20:01 | Decent gesture | ianio5691
06/10/2023 18:18 | Larry has a wee bit of decency left. Will he and some of us live long enough to see wee Eamon and his do gooders cough up dough to compensate for their illegal banning of oil and gas production. | hermana3

06/10/2023 17:54 | Where did you read this Swiss? Thanks in advance | paulsavannah
06/10/2023 17:49 | Still will be a case of turkeys voting for ( an early) Christmas. We should wait for Lansdown's legal bid to play out or the results of the General Election | mcbull
06/10/2023 17:06 | An interesting twist in the Barryroe update that LG/Vevan are making a compensatory gesture to existing shareholders of a 5% profit share of future production or asset sale proceeds for up to a 10 years period from July 27th 2023, I would suggest some significant litigation and representation to the Irish government is not very far away and I am sure the Lansdowne team will be lining up their communication plan with LG in the very near future,…GL S | swizz
06/10/2023 10:10 | Beef man has the cash to develop Barryroe if let. If not he will go for the jugular in the Courts. Pity we will be bystanders in this Mexican standoff... | hermana3
05/10/2023 10:15 | England is so lucky not to have a Minister cut in the venal cloth of Eamon Ryan. He alone has blocked progress here for over 3 years and bankrupted the company in the process. Board had no choice but to hand this to Goodman as who else has the patience and resources to go to Court against the dead hand of the State. It is a decent bet for him but he will have to wait a good while. Bet O'Reilly thinks he could have dealt with Barryroe better but it is hard to see anyone getting an inch from the pig ignorant Ryan and his lapdogs at DECC. Rockhopper skinned the Falklands government and in time Goodman will skin the Irish government but we will get SFA for our loyalty over the years. La vie n'est pas toujours en rose mes amis..... | hermana3
04/10/2023 16:57 | Does this type of thing never happen with BODs that are English or is it just unique to Irish BODs? | paulsavannah
04/10/2023 10:07 | Was a Ponzi scheme with one billionaire starting the caper and another at the far end standing to clean up in the Courts. Cant see LG throwing much at the great unwashed particularly if he has BOD in his pockets.. | hermana3
04/10/2023 10:06 | Jotoha2 I couldn't agree more. The money that has been frittered away over the past 12years is bordering on scandalous. A series of very poor decision and missed opportunities, not to mention the apparent 'gilding of the lily' over the those years only to be let down when the crunch came. From £7 a share and only 44million shares after the 100/1 split. It's just my opinion but it appears that the current board has achieved what it set out to do and I have no doubt that Barryroe will get it's licence to drill at sometime in the future. I fail to understand why this current board didn't apply a lot more pressure on Mr Ryan far sooner than they did over this license but, maybe the answer to that is what has now come to pass. SKINT!!!. However those currently at the helm are most definitely not. It will be very interesting to see what will happen with Barryroe. I suppose the best thing I can say about it is it's taught me a serious lesson, after all who could possibly want oil and gas?. Cheers all. | peaeff
04/10/2023 08:53 | Like I said every BOD involved with this company if Irish then dodgy at least . Please point out one man who acted in the best interest of the company and its shareholders ! | jotoha2
04/10/2023 06:16 | Could be a consolidation where all shares below 2-5 Euro are forfeit. | murmurs
03/10/2023 20:48 | If you read the RNS you would see the board are all gone too once the scheme of arrangement goes through. | paulsavannah
03/10/2023 20:25 | No need for the anti-Irish sentiment / remarks. Only question to be answered now is the price per share for the scheme of arrangement/takeover What price would the participants on this Board vote through? | northatlanticholdings
03/10/2023 17:43 | So he has sacked the Bean counter , now what about the rest of the BOD , they certainly need to go , but of course they may of agreed to get involved with this destruction of a company which had potential in the right hands , dodgy Irish , what do you expect ! | jotoha2
03/10/2023 15:52 | I have little doubt it was all choreographed to go into liquidation and then for LG to step in and take it all for himself. That cuts out all the regulations and laws to be adhered to regarding shareholders and corporate governance etc | paulsavannah
03/10/2023 10:31 | As always someone always comes up smelling of roses , certainly will not be the excisting small holders. | jotoha2
03/10/2023 09:56 | Game over now! Dont blame Goodman as the annoyance of a quote and small holders is something any sane and rich person would gladly kick to touch. Sad day but it has been a long time coming.... | hermana3
02/10/2023 20:41 | In fairness we were stuffed long before Larry arrived on the scene. O'Reilly sank the ship by going wildcatting instead of getting Barryroe developed. We ended up over a barrel due to lack of funds and were taken for a ride by a succession of impecunious chancers. Larry is just the latest in a long list. Even before Ryan shafted us he stood to get 90% of the company for a few tens of millions. Now that the only thing left is tax write-offs for someone with enough money to avail of them, he gets the lot for tuppence ha'penny. It's the final swan song in a decade-long fiasco. | ps200306
02/10/2023 19:54 | Goodman firm to inject up to 6.35m into Barryroe https://www.rte.ie/n | paulsavannah |
