20/9/2023 17:46 | Being designated as a "cash shell" is grim indeed. LG has just got planning permission for a big Office development on Nassau St after years of tussling with the NIMBYS and will battle the creeps at DECC with the same vim n'vigour... | hermana3
20/9/2023 07:57 | swizz - Please show me where it says the cash shell status can be reversed if the licences are granted over the next six months. Thanks in advance. | pwhite73
20/9/2023 07:53 | PW, If you get a chance to do so, you should reread the LOGP news releases, as any overturning of the LU decision within the next 6 month period, would enable the listing status to be changed,...GL S | swizz
20/9/2023 07:42 | swizz - "I suspect he has had some influence with the narrative of the response," I don't believe he has. The Irish solicitor's office would be looking at this purely from a legal point. LOGP is now designated as an AIM shell. So even if the licences were granted tomorrow I don't believe they can pursue exploration as a listed oil company. An acquisition or reverse takeover is now required. It is the desire of the Irish solicitor's office that LOGP simply cannot raise the money for an acquisition or become a £6 million investee company. This has to be tempered against any law firm willing to assist them in pursuing a judicial review on a no win no fee basis. | pwhite73
20/9/2023 01:08 | Plus, it is also worth remembering that the DECC are on record in relation to warning Ryan, that any refusal of the licensing application would result in litigation by the Barryroe partners, as there was licensing application approval precedent, whereby applications had been approved by the department, without applying the investment cover criteria, this was disclosed to the Times, as part of a recent FOI process with the DECC, The fact that Ryan's department are now willing to sit at the table and start discussions is very telling, if they wanted to stall, it would have been much easier to tell Lansdowne to go forth and multiply,..GL S | swizz
20/9/2023 01:00 | PW, the Irish state solicitors office will not be working in isolation, they will taking their direction from the Government and being mindful of Ryan's ministerial portfolio, I suspect he has had some influence with the narrative of the response,It also has all of the hallmarks of Ryan's incompetence, in regards to it being left to the final hours of the arbitration period, What is intriguing, is the intention to open dialogue and meet with Lansdowne, especially considering the backdrop of recent years and the absurd refusal of Ryan and the DECC to meet with the Barryroe partners at any stage during the licensing application period, clearly something has changed, ...GL S | swizz
19/9/2023 21:45 | UK rethink on electric cars makes sense. Pushback on that bloody overbearing green agenda long overdue.... | hermana3
19/9/2023 15:05 | Sounds like more time-wasting to me. | theshenagainagain
19/9/2023 08:35 | Well, my bet is on a face saving re-instatement of the licences where they are allowed to exploit current resources for as long as it takes to use them to transition the company into a green energy research and development company. All the clues seem to point in that direction, what with Larry Goodman's examiner proposing the green energy business plan. Gas, geothermal, carbon capture etc, can even put up a few bird shredders while they are there. Kinsale still need to decommission their infrastructure, so you could imagine a deal being made with a company like Petronas if the head winds become more favourable, for utilization of their pipeline and so on. The only question in my mind, and it seems a given, is that LOGP may do a reverse takeover in this scenario. Otherwise they will just go ahead and sue the government under the ECT or make a deal to facilitate the above. | cephalosaurus
19/9/2023 07:12 | swizz - "Ryan denies the Irish state have breached ECT" Ryan has not denied anything it was the Irish State Solicitors office that denied their was any breach. However that they have proposed a meeting between LOGP and the DECC suggests they are fully aware of their limited chances of success and the financial implications if this went to judicial review. Its now a question of reinstating the licenses in some form that saves face and exonerates Ryan of any blame. | pwhite73
19/9/2023 06:22 | Yes he will import but not produce at home. Absolute work of a madman who has been hiding in plain sight. | hermana3 |
