Lansdowne have now officially started their legal journey,…GL S

Further to the Company's announcement of 22 May 2023 that the Company was formalising the engagement with external legal counsel to pursue legal proceedings for the purpose of protecting its investment in the Barryroe Project, Lansdowne is pleased to announce that its legal advisors, Ashurst LLP, have submitted a letter to Ireland giving notice pursuant to Article 26(2)(c) of the Energy Charter Treaty, requiring Ireland to participate in discussions with a view to settling the dispute within three months of the date of such notice. Receipt of this letter has been acknowledged.

Further updates will be made as appropriate, along with more information on the claims sought by Lansdowne in this matter.

preparing a circular and notice to convene an EGM, to be held as soon as practicable during July, to seek shareholder approval for appointment of a liquidator to the company, doesn't take much time to do, so given that it hasn't been done yet shows that there are other options being discussed/considered in the background.

Question for those who are close to the action , has Mr Beef actually put any cash into this company, I can not see any confirmation of BOD having put their hands in their pockets.

The Board must have met to decide on pursuing legal action or not by now. Tomorrow will be interesting...

At least we have some support in the media. Rest of dem hacks are buying into the big green scam and blindly supporting the "woke cause". Barryroe PR is run by a former Times hack, Rory Godson and Carey will be getting briefed and is not afraid to call bloody ryan a dirty lawless crook.

Brian Carey at The Times, appears to be well informed, although I would hope he is somewhat inaccurate in his closing assessment, Ryan's discretionary decision is an ideological crime against a nation on an unprecedented scale, hopefully Goodman, Furlong and others have the appetite to take this all the way, as I certainly would if I had the means to do so, it's time for the major holders and Barryroe partners to step up and face into the challenge ahead,..GL S

set aside from a judicial review how much realistically could the company sue the gov for in order for them to take note and potentially settle. ryan is so arrogant he could have made the call without AG advise

Nobody seems to want to comment which suggests legal action is imminent and they have been advised that mums the word!

Swizz, Good article which gives us some hope. A Judicial Review seems to be preferred route for the present.

This article clearly demonstrates that present and past members of the BOD have shown zero ability in moving this project forward , nearly £300 M flushed down the bog with no results , no wonder the majors have stayed away .
