17/2/2011 22:00 | The guy should be shut down i know of quite a few that have sent the FSA emails reporting him | stamply2
17/2/2011 21:59 | BMD is nothing more than a big ball of wind. He has NO advance inside information about any share. He likes to give the impression that he has some inside information., If he has inside information he would have been shut down by the FSA long ago. He should publish a chart showing all of his "recommendations" for the past year. The price then and the price now, together with a brief comment about what he said. But you may rest assured he WILL NEVER do this as it would clearly expose him as a fraud and someone with little knowledge. Anybody can re write an RNS. Read what he said last year about TOWER RESOURCES and how he got it 100% wrong. Only fools would take note of what he posts. He is a windbag. . | paul_bennett
17/2/2011 21:45 | Wise words Linslader, great post. We've got a lot of nervous MTA regulars showing their nerves tonight. The RNS is late and people starting to get crazy. BMD may well be right about MTA and it could be a great buy. Who knows? Only time will tell. What I won't stand for is people losing their minds and spouting rubbish to defend their stocks because they're sweating over news. This thread is completely impartial and was created to get a balanced view... So far, we've seen more negatives from people than positives. PI's can read this thread and make their own mind up. If you're a trader and thought you were on to a nice little earner because mug punters were buying on the BMD news, then perhaps you need to work out another strategy! | ntd909
17/2/2011 21:37 | He has also tipped winners don't forget, and advised against stock, e.g DES. One recent winner is EO. DYOR and quit trying to find someone to blame if you find yourself with a paper loss. Invest for longer than a week in a company, it works. | linslader
17/2/2011 21:12 | BrokermenDan(plural) were pumping LDP a few months ago at 4p. now 1.9p July 29, 2010 Leed Petroleum - Dip in here! Tipped. A tiddler in the oil E+P game i can now reveal the whisper here is this may very well increase yet again over the coming months. Brewin Dolphin have a price target of 12p. Certainly one stock to watch!!! July 30, 2010 Leed Rising - News Expected News is due here, the whispers are good news is on the way re' production etc. 6 month chart (spiked on the 'tip' downhill ever since) | bookiebuster
17/2/2011 21:11 | ntd909. You state in your header "One thing I have noticed is BMDs advice does affect share prices!" Then you post ntd909 - 17 Feb'11 - 12:15 - 30 of 41 "Tip of the day Cluff Gold is down over 4% already." Hence his so called "advice" doesn't always affect share prices!! Unless you mean his "advice" to buy causes punters to sell!! LOL. For your information ntd909 I have been a MTA shareholder for almost 4 years. I had never heard of BMD until 6 months ago when someone posted a link to his blog on the MTA bb because he had tipped MTA. You also state ntd909 - 17 Feb'11 - 17:52 - 36 of 41 Somebody on the MTA forum had a few good words to say. "It seems weird that he put out two notes on them last week but nothing materialised. PI's are holding on, waiting for the news. Hope it isn't a MXP." Buddy Boy, I've been waiting over 3 years for MTA's A-12 well to flow at the promised 1000bopd. Not a BMD promise I hasten to add, but that of Peter Hind, the MTA MD!! I'm waiting PATIENTLY for the confirmation that A-12 will flow at 1000bopd (or at least 800bopd). I definitely don't find it "weird" that BMD "put out 2 notes on them last week but nothing materialised". I would find it "weird" if he was able to predict when the next update will be issued. He is not MTA's MD, nor does he even work for MTA. Why should you expect news from MTA this week just because BMD issued a few MTA blogs last week?!! I don't and I've been invested in MTA for 4 years so why should you?!! MTA's wells are very deep. Around 2.5 miles below the ground. I don't think even the MD could say definitely that work on the A-12 sidetrack will be completed on such and such a day in a weeks time so why should BMD be able to do it!! I agree with looneytune. This thread is a nonsense. It reminds me of Mary Whitehouse, the self styled guardian of public morals of the 60's and 70's, complaining of "filth" on the TV. I always felt that if she was so disgusted she didn't have to watch it; she could always turn the TV off or switch to another channel!! The same here. Nobody is forced to read BMD's blogs. Nobody is forced to follow his advice. I don't know why BMD ramps certain shares on his blog. I don't his motives. However he is free to do so because I can't see that he is breaking any laws. If he was breaking any law then probably most of the posters on these message boards would be breaking the same laws since most, if not all, posters on these bb's ramp their own favourite shares whether directly or indirectly. I personally only glance now and again at his blogs and only take any notice of what he says about shares I'm already interested in and then I either agree or disagree about what he says. I do think he specialises in oilers because he obviously does have high level contacts in the oil industry, but while the oil industry gossip and information he uses in his blogs is not always correct it is more often right than wrong. Again I would strees if you find BMD's blogs beneficial by all means continue reading them. However if you don't ignore them. Don't read them. Don't be like Mary Whitehouse!! Unfortunately some people love to be offended. Anyway you are wasting your time ntd909. There is already a BMD thread in existence, BinManDan, so why start a new one? | papillon
17/2/2011 21:10 | Good comment the_isolator. Very well balanced. It seems Looneytune has got an hidden agenda. Nervous about MTA perhaps? He says he'll never post again but I suspect we'll see him back here. | ntd909
17/2/2011 20:48 | Dans just a punter with maybe some contacts who knows but theres guys like, zegas, pap, and many more who could point to good long term buys with good returns, just his followers jump in and mms take advantage,if your quick u can make a few quid but theres probly loads of pis who buy near the top and lose out, As long as he states his postion then he is doing nothing wrong but hes not someone i would follow always make your own mind. | the_isolator
17/2/2011 20:04 | Looneytune is one of bin mans men btw! | stamply2
17/2/2011 19:53 | Weird post. | linslader
17/2/2011 19:48 | ntd, Why is it weird??? His words are not gospel - he is a pundit. You do understand that, yes? His tips are mainly based on the long term. Sadly it does encourage day traders but that's life. I get the impression you are looking for some kind of stardom from either his success or demise. I find you weird actually. As i stated earlier - this thread is silly. No more from me. Goodnight Lt | looneytune
17/2/2011 19:03 | ntd909, re MTA BMD did call the RNS issued on the 2nd February correctly. It's worth remembering none of the companies he tips rely on his blog to survive, they'll be going long after he has retired. | linslader
17/2/2011 19:00 | MegaCity4... serious accusations from an anonymous poster. How about backing that up with some hard facts and maybe email BMD with your real name and address and let him answer your accusations on his blog ? I'll lay money you don't. | linslader
17/2/2011 17:52 | Somebody on the MTA forum had a few good words to say. It seems weird that he put out two notes on them last week but nothing materialised. PI's are holding on, waiting for the news. Hope it isn't a MXP. | ntd909
17/2/2011 17:39 | Nope he's a liar and a robber. | megacity4
17/2/2011 17:33 | I think this is why the thread is useful. It helps us identify as a group how good BMD's advice actually is. So far, i've received very few positive comments. Does anybody have anything good to say about BMD? | ntd909
17/2/2011 17:17 | He tipped ope at app 6 fell non stop to app 2.4 | debbiegee
17/2/2011 14:05 | Evidently there are lots of people that do. The price spikes are proof of that! | ntd909
17/2/2011 13:20 | he is just a poster like you and me that so happens has a blogg, anyone following his so called tips must be nuts! | divinausa1
17/2/2011 12:15 | Tip of the day Cluff Gold is down over 4% already. | ntd909
17/2/2011 11:55 | The guys a fool and the FSA should shut him down. yesterday he wrote how MXP had found oil and how the investors were in for a great month. today mxp declared a duster. Hes been wrong with TRP,GKP,MXP, and many many more. He even got XEL wrong even though they did eventually flow oil. Hes called buying caza at 50p yet we were all filling are boots at 5p. Binmandan little wonder the guy gets laughed at by the alphaville boys | stamply2
17/2/2011 11:50 | binmandan - I can't believe you're actually related to BMD. It's an honour to have you here. | ntd909
17/2/2011 11:48 | No he is a Shepperd of financial Muppet's who can't make judgement on their own investment decisions. The give away is how he wears his hat..;-) | jab118 |
