SINGAPORE--Barclays PLC (BARC.LN) said Monday it has appointed Nigel Chalk, formerly the International Monetary Fund's China Mission Chief, as its new head of emerging Asia research.
Dr Chalk will be based in Singapore and will report to Barclays Head of Global Economics, Emerging Markets and FX Research Piero Ghezzi and Barclays Head of Asia Pacific Research Jon Scoffin.
He will lead macroeconomic, foreign exchange and interest rate research teams across Asia Pacific.
