Fully agree with you all. Blatantly obvious the govt doesn't really want people going abroad, ie making them pay for pcr tests, and why would you when u can be rammed in airports and planes with no fresh air circulating, zero sympathy. Everyone knows what was happened, how it spreads and if u book it is subject to changes etc. Mind-boggling yet people moan at govt trying to keep people safe in our blame culture. I am away for 1st time in 2 years to a caravan in Stratford upon avon soooo looking forward to our week away.

Exactly Blackpool theme Park was very popular and don't forget the Lake District...the days when we didn't have computers and mobile phones people ventured out more...Southerners would go a for w/end trip to Blackpool and the lake district...

People always forget about Blackpool -best theme park in the country hands down. The atmosphere especially at night with the combination of modern and old wooden coasters intermingling is quite something.

The city itself is a bit desperate of course.

If you go on holiday to an EU country, then you deserve all you get.

Come to Hampshire!

We got Montague Motor Museum, Poertsmouth Dockyard - Victory, Mary Rose, Warrior, Gosport Submarine museum. Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill, Winchester Castle and Cathedral, Jane Austen House in Chawton, Mid Hants Steam Railway, New Forest Cycle Trails, and that is before I even start on the Isle of Wight.

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would travel abroad, apart from business-related reasons. Can they not wait 12 months, and just enjoy this country until things improve? Their stupidity is breathtaking...

If they can afford to travel then they are fully aware of the consequences of possible implementing changes...and as for costs they can swallow it...didn't they see what has happened since Mar 2020...

So they rescue illegal immigrants, house them in a barracks, and then encourage them to sue us for a breach of their human rights? The country has gone.

The Home Office's decision to house cross-channel migrants in a "squalid" barracks in Folkestone was unlawful, the High Court has ruled.

Six asylum seekers brought the case, claiming Napier Barracks was "unsafe" and dormitory use caused a Covid-19 outbreak earlier this year.

The ruling could see a damages claim against Home Secretary Priti Patel.

The Home Office said use of the barracks would continue, and it was considering its "next steps".

The judgment could lead to further cases from any other men held at the camp who can bring similar evidence to court.
