Happy to be flat for now.

Buys 167 & 185p though not sure about 185p risk/reward. Might feel different on arrival.

Manics : Its certainly a bumpy ride at the moment but hoping the UK and its vaccine strength can deliver positivity to the ftse and not let it get pulled down unnecessarily with the europeans

PRBSHARES: to say broader markets have froth is staying the obvious. There's some crazy numbers around.Yesterday was tobacco, travel and tech. BARC got dragged down. The end of the buy back (which is all in the public domain) isn't as big an influence as results next Friday (which are not yet in the public domain) imo. BARC just has to 'stay alive' at these levels until then to possibly go on to higher highs into May. A marked improvement in the futures this morning is supportive. I'd be nervously ticking off the seven sessions ahead.

Manics : whats your thoughts on today and the run up to the end of the buyback ... ?

Looking over yesterday and the movements across the market it seems that there was a big dose of profit taking which seemed to spook the equities. Guess the question is whether that was our barc bi-weekly correction ?

The view on Barclays stays the same being a few days away from completing its buyback, results are due next week which imo anticipate showing significant profits against buyback costs and more interesting IB ventures across the globe.

Huawei catches more flak for reportedly being able to eavesdrop on cellular networks

Some new allegations have surfaced that apparently Huawei was able to eavesdrop on cellular network communications as far back as 2010, which is exactly what you do not want when a company is entangled so deeply with China’s government.

The Boris Johnson Green dream that will cost us the earth

"The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy put the cost of reaching net zero at a staggering £70 billion a year for the next three decades — and no doubt that is an underestimate."

But punishment should fit the crime.

So Johnson, wanting desperately to carry on virtue signalling to the world ( and pleasing his latest partner who appears to fancy herself an "activist" ) is carrying out the WEF plan, we are back to the Climate Emergency Hoax. All of which ruins our lives, makes no difference to the planet ( we emit just 1% of the so called climate change gases ) .Vote them out , choose a new party unless you want to live in cold misery.

It won't be long before China is using the knowledge gained at this Tesla plant in China to help build their own brand of electric cars but at a third if the cost of a Tesla. Apple learned the hard way that China steals intellectual property and takes advantage of the prestige they get when Apple chooses 'Made in China'. Apple got slaughtered by the China Government Huawei and has a difficult time selling in China. Tesla will lose China market share with the plant in the same way.

Tesla apologizes as anxiety grows after driver protest

Angry protester at Shanghai show claimed her Tesla's brakes lost control

The blowback would appear to stem from an embarrassing incident Tesla faced on Monday at the Shanghai Auto Show, one of the world’s premier car events.

An angry protester climbed on top of one of its display vehicles shouting that her car’s brakes had lost control.

Tesla sells roughly 30 percent of its cars in China, made at its Shanghai factory. But it has faced occasional criticism over issues such as complaints of battery fires.
