I would have thought it would be sensible to give gyms a wide berth. Heavy breathing viruses carriers?.. Give it 4 months max before another lock down

The Belfast riots have nothing to do with the border.. recently there has been several funerals with hundreds attending with alleged suspected IRA members attending .The police did nothing about social distancing at the funerals while the police continually harassed the loyalist community about social distancing... The locals said enough is enough..

nick100 : I think they would be correct in their assumption that barc is undervalued at this level. Strange to say that when we were sub 100p a year ago, but things have changed and the bottom line is the bank made good profit even through the darkest days of the lockdown. We need to see the ftse lighting up and then barc will follow, she may even have a go on her own as we have seen previously when the yields rise.

Manics : Good on you for hitting the gym... guessing the booking of 1 hr slots will be the way forward.

Ftse looks to open a little down -20-25 points. Be interesting to see how this week pans out as the UK opens up. I would like to see barc knocking on your 193 target .

I found this interesting in Seeking Alpha article.

£700m Buyback - Rapid Deployment
At FY20, BCS announced its intention to commence a £700m buyback before the end of 1Q21. The buyback commenced on 19 March 2021, and it has been proceeding at a rapid pace. On average, BCS has bought back around £30m of shares per day since the buyback began, and the company is already over 50% of the way through the £700m program.

As of 09 April 2021, the average buyback price paid was ~£1.85 per share, with a total outlay of £391m. The fact that BCS is proceeding so quickly (noting that the buy-back can run until 04 August 2021) can be seen as an indication that the company thinks that its stock is still materially undervalued.

atleast we wont face a wealth tax in the future, one good thing the housing market can give us.

this government will never hit the housing market, its the holy grail in this country.

you can blame hedge funds for that tho, biggest tory donors aswell. i dont blame 9/10 people who put all there money in housing.

i still remember free cash man saying "you shareholders will face the brunt of this downturn" last year... easy targets.
he even advised companys to slash our dividends, around 40% of our total dividends were gone, compared to 2% usa and 5% europe. this country makes me sick.

Once upon a time many moons ago investing/buying shares in companies meant something...since the tech boom and bust of Y2000 the word investing has gradually lost its meaning...it is currently on casino mode...
