Now who would do that?...

The Bidens were momentarily left to wait outside the White House in an awkward moment on Inauguration Day, possibly as a result of a final “petty” act by the Trump administration.

On Wednesday, Joe Biden was inaugurated as the 46th president at a ceremony at the US Capitol, following which the couple was given a military escort to their new home.

Later, as the Bidens walked up the steps to enter the executive mansion, pausing to wave before turning to enter, the much anticipated moment fell flat as the doors failed to open and the couple was left on the doorstep.

According to The National Journal, a well-placed official not associated with the incoming Biden team told the newspaper: "The Trumps sent the butlers home when they left so there would be no one to help the Bidens when they arrived."

No way can Biden repeat what Trump did to the DOW. Neither does he want to imo.

pol123: you label this thread "garbage". This, the Active Barclays Traders Club thread, posted short at 150p.

I'm sorry to note that following portside1 apparently telling you at 150p that BARC was "about to go up" you immediately replied on the Grandad rant thread that you agreed and were "hoovering up" 50k BARC.

Well of course it didn't go up, it went down. As indeed this thread said it would.

Your perception of quality then I'm afraid, has so far cost you £2.5k and in just a few sessions. That is just horrible.

Recognise the quality. Keep Active imo.

Think Democrats tactical strategy to win against Trump was to put an experienced Politician ...age was irrelevant...Biden just happen to be the candidate at the time...but must say at 78 he should be well retired...instead he has taken on top heavy responsibility 24/7...God give him strength...

Rejoining Paris Climate Deal Will Have Devastating Economic Consequences, Experts Say.

The United States rejoining the Paris climate agreement as it stands now will have devastating economic consequences, with little actual environmental benefit, according to experts.

President Joe Biden on Jan. 20 signed an executive order to rejoin the global pact, one of his first major moves as president. According to the United Nations, developed countries under the agreement should “take the lead in providing financial assistance to countries that are less endowed and more vulnerable,” while also encouraging voluntary contributions by other countries.

While “well intentioned,” the agreement was flawed economically and environmentally from the get-go, according to Nicolas Loris, the deputy director of the Thomas A. Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies at the Heritage Foundation.

“It will be very costly for Americans families and business because 80 percent of our energy needs are met though carbon-emitting conventional fuels,” Loris told The Epoch Times. “Regulating them and subsidizing alternatives is going to harm American families and taxpayers.”
